Crab. Shrimp Scampi. Tempura Shrimp. Calamari. YUM!
Playing our Christmas Dice Game with daddy's family....
Kyleigh had a special visitor that night who gave her two Russian hats that she has been dy'in to have.
sprinkling reindeer food....Our reindeer inspired Santa treats.....
New fuzzy socks....
and Christmas book about Snow Angels...we have no snow for Christmas this year. {bummer!}
One of my favorite things that we do on Christmas Eve to feel the true meaning of the season is watch the Nativity Story. This year we added something yummy to this tradition. While we watched the movie, we ate what we call "Bethlehem" food...cheese, hummus, pita bread, grapes and pear juice...
Christmas Morn
Reaction to Santa's goodies...
Some whoa's! squeals! and a "oh my goodness" from our youngest. I sorta die. Wish I could have posted the whole video..
Gifts for Kyleigh...
Gifts for Emma....
Gifts for Hannah....
We hid the new cell phone Santa left her. We had him call her. ;) The phone started ringing and she had to find it. Great surprise! The look on her face kills me.
Gifts for Brie....
Emma is my gift giver. She gave hand made gifts to everyone. An Eiffel Tower painting she drew for me. Jewelry for Kyleigh. Hair clip for Kate. She made teddy bears for Brie and Hannah {and had her sewing teacher at school embroider their initials} So sweet!
Kate's gifts......
Emma's homemade sign for Dad! which he'll be using a lot because of his new toy that he's sharing with me!...
After church we had brunch at grandmas...I had to speak in sacrament meeting {gulp} so by this time, I was breathing a huge sigh of relief to have THAT over with.... Eventhough, I WAS thankful for the opportunity to testify of the Savior, on his special day, and express my gratitude to him for his example and influence in my life.
Kate wanted nothing to do with the above photo shoot. {At least she is partly dressed though.} You have no idea what clothing issues we are having with this child! She does not like wearing them. period. Likes to take them off anywhere. anytime. Here she is at our family party. {she does have a diaper on...making progress...}
Unlike here....
Hanging Christmas Day with cousins at grandma and grandpas...
Guess who got engaged Christmas weekend? Here's my brother Brad telling us how he proposed to his fiance Karine. We are excited to be adding a new sister-in-law to our extended family and her four kids....We now have 62 family members on my side of the family. WOW! and a wedding to look forward to in April! Yipee.
Love this post! You did great in church on Christmas, it was a lovely talk.
