DANCE MAGIC!
2011 Christmas Recital
Hannah has such a talented dance teacher, but she picks the darn ugliest costumes....
Starlette Company
Someone got a rose! {I sorta die} Even though it's not the first one from him. He's watched her dance FOR YEARS. This particular recital he sat through three out of Kyleigh's four shows. Granted he does have sisters who dance too, and he's there to watch them as well. But ya know darn well he's there paying particular attention to you know who. We celebrated a VERY long day full of dancing-ness eating at our traditional after dance recital hangout with four other families. It was great fun!
SOME CANDY CANE MAGIC.....
{another creative online idea}
Plant some peppermint seeds.......Yes, even in 30 degree weather!
After planting, make yourselves some peppermint chocolate cookies....
{We've had so many of these kicking around the house,
close to 40 something, for neighbor gifts and the girls to give to their friends. Not bad for $1 a bucket.}
Candy canes!!!! Sorta magical.
{I do not know what I was more excited to see. The snow or the candy canes. Also, I did not take in account the frozen ground, therefore, candy canes could not stand upright. But you get the idea ;) }
CHRISTMAS LIGHT MAGIC.......
We drove around our neighborhood looking for the best decorated house for our first annual Christmas decorating contest. Got the free printable and idea here . We gave out a certificate, along with some truffles, and mini lights with a personal note that said "Thanks for lighting up our life and our neighborhood!"
We gave out three awards because we couldn't pick just one house, but this
one in our eyes won first place! lights were set to music on radio station.
SOME WIDOW MAGIC!
I don't think there is anything that will bring more magic in your life than by visiting the elderly, and the homeless.
{our recent visit to the homeless shelter downtown WAS quite memorable}
I have 26 of these sweet widowed ladies in my ward.
I'm in the middle of my quest to make sure each one of them knows I'm thinking of them.
Brie has been my helper. This lady used to be Brie's primary teacher.
{Brie would call her little lady in blue}
MELTS MY HEART!
She is one of the cutest and tiniest ladies you'll ever meet. LOVE HER!
This is our little gift to each one of the widows.
NATIVITY MAGIC!
Brie's Primary CTR class put on a puppet light show last Sunday to tell the story of Christ's birth. So sweet!
They were all given their own book with nativity cut outs to put on their own play at home...
Our version of the nativity story at this years Bell Family Christmas party!
MUSIC MAGIC!
Emma's Christmas Band Concert with shakes after to celebrate....
Do you believe in love at first sight? With peppermint ice-cream, yah I believe I'd have to say I do. :)
But the ultimate music moment for me was seeing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert.
IT IS my holiday HAVE TO.
Christmas music along with watching holiday movies with the family is all I need to make my Christmas. Truly. I could seriously give up the shopping and receiving gifts. I was blessed to see the MO TAB concert TWICE. And I didn't even need to stand out on the corner with my need ticket sign like last year. HA!
Kyleigh, Emma and Hannah were with me on Sunday morning .
We sat three rows from the front!
So close that the magical snow fell on us. I sorta died. And the prophet walked right past us. Cannot even tell you how wonderful it was being there!....
{it made me cry}
{I'm not divulging my secret of how I got this year's tickets for the Sunday morning concert}
Nor am I going to admit how many times I've re watched David singing from last years concert.....

Quote of the week: Brie stating last night that there was only 3 days until the big guy comes!!! Can't wait.
