Turkey Day!
We had our traditional
"Thankful" breakfast
Thanksgiving morning.
It's always enjoyable
and enlightening to
hear every one's
"5 thankfuls!"
Cute Kate made turkey legs for us
in place of name place cards!
Inside were some goodies...
We ate Thanksgiving dinner with Jaren's
side of the family.
Emmsie always decorates the table for Gma-C!It was a delicious feast as always...
as was the pecan pie
or ping pong pie
as my nephew likes to call it.
We went to my sister's for more pie.
Once again, my brother-in-law stole
the show with his pie making.
I think he made 23 this year for
neighbors and family!!!
My sister had a houseful of over 40 guests.
We went and saw this movie
Thanksgiving night.
Such a feel good show.
I LOVED it, although
I think I loved the documentary
"Won't You Be My Neighbor"
even more.
*****
Some goodies Kate made over the
Thanksgiving break with a little
help from Emmsie and I.
She likes to make it more than eat it.
It's kind of funny.
She also enjoyed making these felt
finger puppets.
She gets excited about the littlest of things.

Two days before Thanksgivingmy parents celebrated their 64TH
Wedding Anniversary!
They wanted Chic-fil-A to celebrate.
How cute are they?
I lit a candle for them so they could
eat by candlelight.
😍

Over the Thanksgiving Break we checked off
a few things on our Traditions List..
One was getting the trees decorated!
We have three trees this year.
The front room tree has a lot of my
parents ornaments on it.
We've got a creme, gold and crystal theme
going on in there.
It looks pretty magical at night!
Thank goodness for my tree fluffers...
Our beloved "old world style" tree is
one of our favorite things
about Christmas!
Our tree in the basement family room has ornaments from
our very first tree from ions ago...
Like baby's first Christmas {Kyleigh's}
It's like a throwback to a 90's
vintage country Christmas.
😂
*****
The night after Thanksgiving we checkedoff another tradition by going to
Christmas in Color.
It's 1.5 million lights
synchronized to Christmas tunes
is pretty spectacular and a fun way to
to kick off the Christmas season.
The kids had fun hanging out the windows
and seeing cousins reactions in the
truck behind us.
Iceberg Shake after is sort of a must!
*****
Another tradish over the breakis working on a
gingerbread house ...
Here is Kate and I's masterpiece.
😜
We like Gma Bells pre-made ceramic
one much better.
Speaking of gingerbread....
Try the gingerbread cookie at Goodly
if you get a chance.
It's scrumptious!
*****of the advent calendar on Dec. 1st!
This year I found a cute one at
Costco that has better chocolate.
😜
