Kyleigh and Emma have been at Heber Valley Girls Camp.
{all week}
I so miss them!
Dad was able to go up one day for priesthood duty.
He was able to snatch a few shots of them.
Kyleigh's best friend's pack looked something like this... camping gear strewn down to her calves. This pic made me laugh my head off.
{imagine hiking like that!}
Luckily Jaren was able to help her too or she might not have ever wanted to hike again!
While the older girls were away having fun all week I took the opportunity to dote on the younger kids...
We had a "Kool" summer day making play doh out of Kool-Aid
If you want the recipe go here
the dough smelled so good!
That night Daddy watched Kate while I took Hannah and B. Olivia to see how Judy Moody's Summer was "Kool" after all. It was worth the 75 cents it cost per ticket. {but that's about it} LOL That girl needs to learn how to brush her hair! bugs.
One day we had a DR. SEUSS afternoon....
I sent them on a crazy in-door scavenger hunt. Racing to find common household items within a minutes time. Free download and idea came from here.
I added one of my own. Having them find all the Dr. Seuss books in the house.
Dr. Seuss scavenger hunt prizes...
We made the pinwheels together and put them in the secret garden out back. {Which I believe I still need to post about.}
We read Dr. Seuss books! Some of them have been kicking around... I'm sure since Kyleigh was a toddler. You'll find them well beat up and loved. And then we watched the Cat In The Hat movie...
One night this week it was only Brie and I for dinner. Dad was still up at camp with the girls, Hannah went to see Harry Potter with two of her girlfriends, and Kate was taking a late nap. We had some awesome one on one time with a mommy daughter dinner date by candlelight on the family room floor.
Midweek we had a POP themed day!
This is popcorn cake! They LOVED this. So yummy and easy too...
3 bags of lightly buttered popcorn
1 bag of big marshmallows
1 stick of butter
peanuts (optional)
m & m's
melt marshmallows and butter together and pour over popcorn
put mixture in a greased bundt cake pan
chill in refrigerator
{I did mine overnight}
POP to drink and balloons to POP!
I found some cheapo flip flops and we added balloons to make them pop with cuteness...
filling the balloons....
for a water balloon fight...
can't forget the belly's that POP...
Which reminds me of one of my all time favorite baby board books. Oh my gosh just way too cute!
Enjoying a popsicle on a lazy summer afternoon
You'd think I'd given Kate a sour one....
We've got a few more fun things planned before those older sisters get home....
Bee Bo!
