Thanksgiving!
my favorite holiday...
We had our traditional Thanksgiving morning breakfast. We keep it simple. It's always store bought sweet rolls. This year we added huevos rancheros...just scrambled eggs and salsa..
We always read some version of the 5 kernels of corn story... Afterwards we take turns saying 5 things we are thankful for.... I love hearing what everyone has to say...the thankfuls ranged from family and church to simple things like new glasses and a tea kettle. Some of my favorites:
Dad-"For love in my life"
Mom-"mom and dad time"
Kyleigh-"sleep"
Emma-"traditions"
Hannah-"friends"
Brie-"Heavenly Father"
Kate- Kate was a no show...she sat at the table for a second then decided she would rather be back asleep, so back to bed she went.}

Birds of a Feather Flock Together...Our little place setting turkeys I made from fall leaves and feathers!
We had a blessing, leaf theme going on I realized....
The turkey Kate made at preschool....
Kyleigh was given this little Thanksgiving'y gift from a girlfriend..cutest idea!...you open the can and it's filled with candy!...How did the candy get in there?... You open the bottom with a can opener..almost all the way..take contents of can out, wash/dry can, fill with candy, then tape bottom shut..
We ate Thanksgiving dinner with daddy's side. Emma set the table and did an awesome job...
Later that afternoon we went to my sisters to be with my family for more food AND PIE...They had a houseful!
My brother in law made all the pies! He is quite the pie maker... I was so impressed. His coconut creme was my favorite.
All turkey'd out! So cute!!
My sweet parents..
celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary Thanksgiving week.
About 18 of us went to see the new Disney movie "Frozen" that night. What a cute show!
Kyleigh is tad bit excited for the Hobbit...
I had to get a pic cuz it's very rare that ALL 7 of us are at the same movie at one time. Happens once a year, on Thanksgiving night. :)
My favorite book at the moment...Consider the Blessings...
I love holiday children's books!... "Over the River and Through the Wood" my mom used to sing to me as a kid, so of course this is my Thanksgiving favorite......
Had a delightful Thanksgiving week..one of my favorite weeks of the year!
