Back To School Party!
I threw a little party for the girls and three of their cousins to celebrate school starting next week.
{Don't know how that is possible to celebrate such a thing.}
But we faked being excited and managed quite nicely.
You're so sharp tag was a free on-line download. I filled the jar with mechanical pencils because my girls prefer those rather than the traditional no.2's....My absolute favorite thing about the party were the serving trays. We ate school cafeteria style. {Although they said the food was way better than school lunch!} haha. I found the trays at Target on clearance. I even wore a hair net (sort of) when I served the food... cuz ya know, lunch ladies do that.
We played school after....
studying 5 subjects...
the first being Math!
We played a round of UNO!
Where we played the "What If" game....
you write silly questions and answers...and the q's and a's get all mixed up....
you are bound to giggle every time you play....
proof of that....
We studied Art!
by playing pictionary.....
We even attempted a science project...
at the park with a bottle of coke and mento's....I think you could say we failed this subject...hahaha
as we did not perform the experiment correctly
{go figure!}
There was no need to run for your life....
unlike here!
{what our experiment really should have looked like!}...

Our final subject was Music...
We played 'Name That Tune'
{from songs off our iPods}
with a few dance moves thrown in....
A movie and sleepover followed....
FUN FUN night! {the older girls were great at playing along}
The next day I sent Hannah, Brie, my niece, and one of Brie's girlfriends on a Back to School scavenger hunt...
idea and free downloads from Happy Home Fairy...
They hunted the house and outside for school supplies to fill these pencil pouches....with pencils, crayons, markers, scissors, glue, and rulers...
Then we went to Mc D's and to the dollar theatre to see a movie....
The fun continued as two of my nieces stayed a second night...where some of the girls opted to sleep over on Aunt Dori's backyard trampoline...
they treked over there on their bikes WITH their sleeping gear in tow.
{which was tied or roped in about every possible way to either themselves or the bike}
Pretty darn funny sight!
YOu really are the cutest mom ever! I am totally jealous of your life. I wish we were at all your parties.
