A Peek Into Our Week....
Our Sweet Kate was baptized on Saturday!
Love these people!
{They are my life.}
We had had "one of those weeks"
where the last thing we wanted to be doing was
having a milestone family event, but we all
pulled together and made it happen.
Love this pic even more because of it.
The baptism services were so sweet.Baptisms always make me cry.
Then, when it's one of your own it's
even more of a tender experience.
There were a few 'moments'...
where I wish I could have just bottled it up,
so I can keep the memory etched in my mind
and heart forever.
Everyone played a part in the program, except for me..
I just orchestrated it all.
π
I used these templates from Etsy
HERE
for matching invites and program.
My dad, who is ill with cancer, was able to
attend the service.So grateful!
My parents have 29 grand kids.
{not counting the 21 great grand kids in the mix}
Kate was their last grandchild to be born.
So this was their last grandchild baptism.
Kate LOVES her cousins!
Her cousin Taylor gave the opening prayer!
Oh my gosh too cute!
If you need a talk on baptism
that's super relatable to an 8 yr old
I'd be happy to share it with you.
Just shoot me a message.

We showed these two videos
while Kate was getting
changed into her dress...
I love these Primary songs!
Some friends who came to support her.
The neighbor girl brought her flowers
π
she got lots of fun jewelry...
new scriptures and fluffy white towel with a cute poem!
from StrongArmor website HERE
We had a luncheon at the house afterwards....
We came across this unicorn cake by chance at Sam's Club.
Kate was thrilled about it.
It went with her unicorn rainbow backdrop.
I got the personalized digital download from
HERE
then got it blown up to poster size at Costco.
We named all the desserts and drink after a Primary Song....
idea from the talented Marci Coombs

{we came up with a few on our own}
the fluff is cotton candy!
for the popcorn trees!
π
We tried arranging these donuts so they looked like the number 8!π
It was a lovely occasion spent with family and friends...
So proud of you Kate! π
*****
It was also a big day for Hannah as it was Senior Ball.
Then.... we had to get Brie off to her friend's Bat Mitsvah celebration
up at the U.
It was a heck of a day!
*****
In other randomness this week....
This baby news made us happy!This stuff just makes Emmsie SO EXCITED.
She wishes she was legit British.
She and I made predictions for the
day the baby would be born, etc.
π
We both guessed it would be a girl! Darn.
We are anxiously awaiting the prince's name.
Emma has guessed Albert James Philip
my pick is Arthur Frederick James.
{p.c. online}
*****
I can't tell you how much I love fresh flowers.
Wish I could have them in my house everyday!
Emmsie promised Kate once she got her finals over with
she'd paint with her.
This was Emmsie's completed painting
in just a short amount of time.
Blows my mind.
*****
I helped with the elementary school's fun run!
*****
Kate won an award for being the
best storyteller
in her class.
She is so quiet and reserved at school.
The award came with a bit of surprise,
even to her!
{Maybe she has some hidden talent there.}

*****
More car fun for Kyleigh!
We had an wicked wind storm last week.
Kyleigh's car was hit by a piece of tire flying around in the wind on the freeway.
It punctured a hole in her transmission.
Good Ghandi!
That girl has had her fair share of car probs.
π©
She got finals over with...actually she had her last
{out of eight}
over the phone with a professor 5 minutes after her plane landed in D.C.
Goodness me...so typical of her life!
Always flying by the seat of her pants.
ππ
She gets to relax for a few days as she's gone to D.C.
to visit a good mission buddy.
She's having a great time sight seeing
and eating yummy food!!!
