Playing catch up here...
My Hannah turned 21!!!
We threw a "club" b-day party for her
and surprised her by inviting her friends..
So so fun!
They all showed up in
clubb'in attire.
It was pretty legit with all the
flashing lights, and loud music..
We served mock cocktails!
what drinks to serve and naming them all
after Hannah's favorite guys...
π
We pre made the base of each drink
just right before her friends came so
things wouldn't get too crazy making
and serving individual drinks all at once...
or they could make their own...
These two helped with the
bar tending duties...
We served lots of Hannah's favoritesnacks and treats...and displayed all
of Kate's shot glasses that she has
collected. What 11 yr old collects
shot glasses? She has a few.
π
The Poppi was the bouncer
and checked ID's...
π
B and Kate made their own.
Photoshoot with the birthday girl.....
They had fun taking Polaroid's
playing {root}beer pong
and doing karaoke...
The club was a success!!!
*****
Before her party
the hubs and I took her out
for her b-day dinner.
The day after her party was her
actual birthday.
gift time
For one of her gifts Emmsie made her
a custom Raymond poster. Who
remembers Raymond from
the teen movie Aquamarine?
We named the mock Margarita drink after him.
We were still drinking theyummy drinks from the night before.
The "Salvatore" {from Vampire Dairies}
was a hit. We used Fresca, Grenadine,
which is actually pomegranate, not cherry
who knew? along with Maraschino cherries.
*****
In food news...
Katsu chicken and sushi night with
the hubs and some of the kiddos..
Red Bean Ice Cream to top it off!
YUM.
We tried Raising Cane's
which opened recently in Utah...
The hubs and Kate waited in line for an hour
for this food.
He sent me this video of the line of cars
waiting to get to the restaurant
and police directing traffic.
Is their chicken and fries THAT GOOD?
Their sauces make it
different, it's tasty,
but other than that I didn't think it was
anything overly special to holler about.

Two of my favorite things of late...
Summer Fruit!
{Looks like you bought an orchard said the hubs...}
and newborn babies!
