Kyleigh Mission Update Week 24
Hello Everyone!!
It's almost time to break out the tights..it's getting cold here. Yah!!!
Monday October 19, 2015
Yet another fabulous P Day! We spent some time on our apartment doing little things that we never have time to do throughout the week. We went shopping for a bit and I got some fun socks. We were supposed to have FHE but no one showed up so we had Area Meeting instead.
Tuesday October 20, 2015
We taught a new investigator today. Her name is 안미연s. She has a little bit of a Catholic background. She is mostly just meeting us right now for English. But we have faith that could change :) We went out on the streets and tried talking to people. No one was interested. We made brownies for our less active member appointment on Wednesday. Half of them burned. Dumb mini oven. Then we had English Class...only one person showed up.
Wednesday October 21, 2015
Sadly two of our appointments we had scheduled canceled on us. We walked around our area trying to talk to people without much luck. We had interviews with our Mission President. It's weird to think that the last time I talked to him one on one was my first day here in Korea. He had some good advice. I also got my Halloween package from the family and letters. I was super excited. Thank you! :)
Thursday October 22, 2015
We had our service activity at the soup kitchen. Then I went on Exchanges with Sister Morrison to 포항 (poh hong). We went and English Class proselyted with the Elders in her area. We also taught a little kids English Class at their Branch President's house.
Friday October 23, 2015
Had lunch with two ladies in the Branch and all six missionaries in our area. We talked about General Conference for the Spiritual message. Then we had a mini Area Meeting. We are trying to plan a Meeting for the Branch Members to help them get involved in Member Missionary work. We visited another lady in the Branch who is pregnant and due in December. She is trying to renovate her house before the baby comes so we offered to help her out with some projects. She was super grateful.
Saturday October 24, 2015
We had English Class and it was one of the English Class Attendees birthdays so she bought everyone kimbob! So sweet of her! We also had the opportunity to attend a cultural musical concert with our recent convert.
Sunday October 25, 2015
It was the Primary Program today! They kids were hilarious and I could understand most of it because I know church words/vocab and their speaking parts are super easy. We went and Gospel proselyted with the Elders in the downtown area at night. It was cold, but we passed out a lot of fliers and pamphlets.
Hope everyone enjoys the last week of October! My scripture this past week was D&C 112:10! "Be thou humble, and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers. "
Love you all!!!
xoxo

In other family news this week...
My Brielle Olivia had a birthday!
She loves anything to do with Wonderland...so...an Alice theme affair it was.
{Alice Party Printable's and Invite from CupcakeExpress2 on Etsy}
I tried to just use tea party decor, paper products and wrapping paper that I already had...
It was wacky and colorful like a Mad Hatter's tea party should be.
One of the boys looked at his place setting and said, "Whoa, how many plates do we need?"
Made me laugh.
He noticed my decor layering tip. ;)
My friend Cathy made the cake :)
These large face cards I did purchase. {Amazon find}
They came in handy for multiple purposes.

London silver clock was a lucky Ross find ;)
Found these "Drink Me" tiny tiny bottles on Amazon too ;)
Kate dressed as Alice for the occasion...
The evening started out with a game of English croquet at the Royal Queen's Court... before it got dark.

They came in for a sit down tea.
Minus dainty tea party food.
We just served your typical kid party food. :)
Hannah and Emma were the servers.

I found some fun Alice inspired party games on line...the kids really enjoyed them.
I was actually surprised at how well they went over..
I was actually surprised at how well they went over..
This game was inspired from the Caucus Race in the movie..sorta like musical chairs but with hula hoops..
Make the Cheshire Cat Smile!
It's a mix between Hide n Seek and the game Sardines...
Gift time!
They watched a little of this...
while they ate cake, ice cream and had hot chocolate
Party favors!

Birthday morn!
It was pitch dark outside when I took B to early morning band practice before school...
There was THE most incredible full moon out {so coo!} in all it's glory..wishing B a happy day. ;)
About a half hour later when it was much lighter Hannie and I tried chasing it..as in me in my pj's running down the sidewalk to get a pic..without much luck.
We squeezed in opening gifts after band & before school..there was lots of action around here for that time of morn...
Some of her fun gifts....Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater!
The new illustrated Harry P and another owl to add to her collection...
Birthday hug from daddy before he headed off to work!
My Birthday girl!
and some movie watch'in...

She also became the resident beautician and fixed Emma's highlights that she got done at the salon a week ago, but didn't like. Emmsie as had some bad luck at the beauty parlor... but Hannie saved the day!
Our missionary gift to her...
I'm telling you every missionary needs a digital voice recorder.
Don't leave home without it. ;)
On MTC "drop off" day I put together a little missionary mom and dad care package for my brother's family. Which included a big box of Kleenex..Nuff said.
To get in the "spooky spirit" of things Kate helped Hannah color Halloween pics for their bedroom door
One more sleep til trick or treat day!
Throwback Thursday {on a Friday}
In honor of Brie's birthday week...a post from 4 years ago.. HERE"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." -Anne of Green Gables-
