a big brother? Our 1 year old
Cockapoo Bing.
Let me introduce you to the newest
member of our family.
Colonel Edward Fitzwilliam "Darcy",
Duke of Westridge.
Darcy and Bingley..
Our Dogs of Austen!
Gonna be best friends like these two below.
{If you are not a Jane Austen lover
you wouldn't understand.
AND yes of course we watched Pride and Prejudice
over the weekend}
π
Here's a bit of the back story
of how this came to be:
At the end of May a neighbor's dog
had a litter of Bernedoodle pups.
{3/4 Poodle, 1/4 Bernese Mtn. Dog}
Brie has been OBSESSED with wanting
a Bernedoodle literally
FOR MONTHS and MONTHS.
Kate too.
Look how stink'in tiny
and adorable they are!
{p.c. from KSL classified}
The Shock! and Surprise!
Needless to say they started crying...
He was really GOOD to him.
We went and visited them when they were
about 4 weeks old.
Unbeknownst to the girls, THE Poppi had put a
deposit down for one of the pups
a few weeks prior,
but teased them that there was NO WAY
we were gett'in another dog.
Well, after about 20 minutes of being there,
and falling in love with
these bundles of cuteness,
the hubs handed Brie this card.
Needless to say they started crying...
I did too.
πππ
We visited every week and quickly took
to this particular puppy.
He was the sweetest and calmest...
Unlike...
π
The day finally arrived for us to
bring him home.
{Darcy is officially Brie's dog
so she gonna be his mama
and primary caretaker.}
.
We dropped Brie off at the church
and then went to get Bing.
We wanted to introduce him to Darcy
in a non-territorial place.
Didn't want him freak'in out
and being aggressive
towards Darcy, trying to protect us.
{Poor guy still gets mad at dogs
and horses on the t.v.}
In fact we had Emma,
who Bing is most protective of
because she is his primary caretaker,
AWAY from the scenario entirely.
She watched from gma's backyard tree house.
{Hey there Emmsie!!!}
π
Bing WAS OVERLY excited to meet him...
We were a bit worried there
for a few minutes,
but overall the meeting went waaay better
than we thought it would.
π
He was really GOOD to him.
They entered the house together!
Hopefully that's a good sign.
New basket of toys!
Mr. Darcy is so sweet!
He looks like a skunk and
he's chunky and fluffy!
He waddles like a
black bear cub.
He sleeps in Brie and Kate's room.
They get up with him
in the night and are doing
an awesome job of
trying to get him potty trained.
During the day, we all
take turns taking him outside-
every 30 minutes or hour it seems.
It's an around the clock job!
He's getting use to his crate
slowly, but surely.
He's such a good eater. Just wolfs it down.
Also a drink'in and poop'in machine.
He enjoys taking naps in this
particular spot...
and chill'in outside.
He loves playing with Bing.
{I'm so not used to the
roughhousing... yet.}
roughhousing... yet.}
of our 24th of July celebration! haha
We were too dog consumed.
Nothing was very pioneer'ish about the day.
Had Asian food to celebrate the holiday. ???
Kyleigh partied for us
at a 24th of July friend
gathering in Provo.
*****
favorite treats of the week...
*****
One Direction celebrated their
10 year anniversary
on July 23rd...
WHAT? How can that even be?
The girls had fun reminiscing
about THEM.
*****
THEN... this simple thing made me smile.
I happened to make a
lengthy heartfelt comment
on my favorite tv show's
{"Somebody Feed Phil"}
Instagram post. For the first time.
And what do ya know,
PHIL LIKED MY COMMENT!
Here's the proof.
I was sorta fan girl-ing cuz
he's a nice guy and all,
but he doesn't "like"
all the comments he gets.
Who gets excited over stuff like this?
Ummm...I do!
*****
My favorite meme of the week....
Isn't this the truth though?
Bless us all.
