On the 25th
Kate and I had a little Christmas in July celebration!
This was our featured book this week...
Hang'in in "pretend" snow!A few little gifts to open to the Christmas tune of Andy William's
"It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"
π
DQ Blizzards for a treat!
We even watched a Hallmark Christmas movie
π
which are playing on the Hallmark Channel during July.
Kate and I are a little obsessed with Hallmark movies in general.
She's my Hallmark buddy...
more often than not we watch a little before bedtime almost every night.
We especially love the mystery ones.
Brie was with the cousins.They happened to have an extra ticket to see the "Joseph" musical at the Hale Theatre
so Brie tagged along with them.
B Olivia had a doctor's appointment this week.
She survived her 7th grade shots...
Stopped off at Even Stevens for a sandwich after wards...
they have the best gluten free bread around.
Was able to catch these two in action this week.
On this particular day they happened to be working at the same hospital in the same department.
{This is most likely the last time they'll be working together before they head for college.}
π₯
Hannah was at the hospital as well volunteering.
So me and the younger two met the Poppi and everyone else for lunch.
In shifts. It was great!
{she's a little obsessed with art supplies}
and a stop here on our way home.
Mrs. Backer's Bakery is on South Temple at the base of the Avenues.
I'm SUPER surprised that for how many times I've driven by it over the years
that I've never been in it.
What a charming little bakery!!!
My eyes bugged out!
I had THE BEST molasses cookie I've ever had.
AND... it didn't give me a headache.
I was so pleased.
*****The hubs and I had Dinner Group with our friends at the Hub & Spoke Diner in Sugar House.
Poor hubbies didn't quite make the picture this month.
{We are not good at taking group selfies. hehe}
One couple couldn't make it.
Due to something called kidney stones.
Dear me do.
π°
This diner was recently featured on Cheap Eats on the Food Network.
I had THE MOST DELICIOUS Reuben sandwich on Rye.
I'm dead serious. It was FANTASTIC!
and the hub's meatloaf and the crab dip!!!...just mmm good!
We're going back!
****
Our family room looked like it threw up camping gear as these four packed for the YW overnighter-backpacking trip in the Uintahs.
Emmie went along even though she's out of YW's.
She just wanted the adventure.

Some of my favorite summer entertainment...
I finished the last season of my favorite period-drama TV series.
Flipp'in love this show and all the characters.
They are fabulous!!!
I enjoyed the first season of this WWII Era Drama on Masterpiece...
It was only 5 episodes...wish there was more.
I'm currently in the middle of this.
Enjoyable.
But NOTHING will beat the original.
{A teenage favorite of mine.}
Love Love Love Good Witch.
Just sweet, innocent and feel good.
I swear if I wasn't myself I wish I could be the Cassie Nightingale character from Good Witch!
