We threw ourselves a little after school Valentines Party with a hot cocoa bar. Wanna know what makes the best hot chocolate? Use whole milk and a little vanilla. *wink*
I believe my favorite thing on the table are the red and white straws from Sweet Lulu or the $3 red frame I found at Harmon's grocery store {of all places}...
Marshmallow popcorn with Valentine candy corn and Chocolate dipped spoons with crushed peppermint to stir the hot chocolate...
The girls favorite was the powdered donuts in the canning jars..
Used printables from Shin dig Parties To Go....
I have to say the Valentine we gave dad was my favorite! I got this idea from watching Studio 5 a few days ago. I filled jars with his favorite candies that he can place on his work desk. I had to come up with an adjective that not only fit the candy in each jar but the individual family member as well. He loves hot tamales so naturally I would be the HOT one. {Not that I think I'm hot or anything but he thinks so.}
Kyleigh is jolly!
Next to Dad, Hannah has the most "chill" personality of all of us. He uses Halls Tropical Chill Breezers all the time.
Brie is just plain "sweet". Dad loves Neccos. So a jar full of conversation hearts....
He loves Weather's Original Caramels...Kate is definitely "original"!
I found the jars with the white lids at the dollar store.
Kate and I delivered them to daddy's work and had a Valentine lunch date at the hospital....
This was our romantic Valentine dinner over the weekend! haha. The other kids were out with friends so the younger two joined us. It was great until Kate threw a tantrum and I had to hightail it out of the restaurant with her in tow.
Luckily on Valentines Night, after a french toast dinner with the girls, we escaped for a few hours to see the new romantic comedy "This Means War".
{We've found the secret to making the best french toast. Use challa bread. Seriously the best!}
My surprise from the Mr.... Chocolate dipped strawberries and raspberries from TLC's the Little Chocolatiers Shop in Salt Lake. Love my man!
Instead of heart attacking the kids faces as they slept on Valentines Eve, Cupid decided to heart attack the bathroom mirror.
A little gift left behind from Cupid! Thanks Overstock!
Another little easy thing I did this year to show my love to the kids was I picked up valentine cards at the dollar store. They have cute cards! I mailed one to each one of my kids so they'd receive them before or on Valentines. They love getting mail, but rarely get it so it was a fun surprise for them.

Brie's class Valentine...SHHHHH! I've got a secret. I Love.......
{On the back of each picture it said.......}
We found Hello Kitty Juice Boxes at the Dollar Store. Got this idea from here.
We made her a Hello Kitty Valentine box for her class party. Funny thing is she really can't stand Hello Kitty, nor is she a big fan of juice but she indulged her mother and was a good sport letting me use this cute idea.
Hannah's theme for her Valentines was Angry Birds. She's a big fan! She made a cute angry bird Valentine box and made her own angry bird Valentines. She is so creative!
Kate in her Valentine garb....
Kyleigh loves Valentines Day! and it shows! {I want her V-day shirt in my size} She got a kick out of passing out valentines at school, basically because no one else was doing it... expect for one of her best friends, and their French teacher!
She got handed this. Some Senior dude. And no, she didn't call. Too funny!
Emma was asked to be someones Valentine. It was really sweet. Nice Nice kid. So this is how we responded.
{If you only knew half of the teenage boy drama that has been going on here in this house of late. Like seriously. I'm all for a bit of drama, cuz it cracks me up. But this past weekend was a little too much, even for me! You can ask my friend. She received 25 texts from me and we talked for almost an hour and a half on the phone. Hilarious. And to think we have 20+ years of it still ahead...Lord help us!}
My Valentine from Brie....melts my heart!
Hannah has a friend Cooper who's Grandpa died last night on Valentines. We know a little about that. I helped her make this card for him.
