Kyleigh in the MTC
We've made it 7 weeks!
Some things that happened this week....
We had a mission president teach us. He and his wife are from Nigeria. They've been living in Ghana for the past 5 years working at that MTC there. They are going back to Nigeria to serve as a Mission President couple. He taught us about the Book of Mormon and how to use it better with our investigators. Then we had to teach each other in English, which was really awkward... because I haven't taught in English in awhile.
We watched "Meet the Mormons" on Sunday night. I've watched it two Sundays in a row. I LOVE THAT SHOW. I think it's because I love the music in it. We don't get to listen to music in here... so it makes me happy. My favorite is the ending where it's David Archuleta's song. :) Also, Sunday night Stephen B. Allen spoke to us {maker of Latter-day Saint religious and proselytizing films} That was a lot of fun. Tuesday night, Joseph W. Satati Of the Seventy...he spoke at last General Conference, came to speak to us. That was really cool too. I got to shake his hand.
We practiced fake tracting in the hallways with one of the younger districts in our Korean branch. That was kind of hilarious. We would go up to them and give a short, simple message. We would all just kinda giggle and laugh.
The residence building with the bats is still empty for another week...we won't move back in, but probably right after we leave for Korea they will move all the sisters back into that building haha! We definitely know how hot it is....the air conditioning in our room sucks, and we have none in our residence building haha! It's going to be even worse in Korea though so I'm trying to get used to it :) Tues. night it was raining a little bit. The sisters in my District and I went outside. I twirled in the rain! It was just nice to be outside and have some fresh air.
I feel lots better this week. I get my flight plans tomorrow. That is kind of crazy. I can't believe it's that time. But hey, we can do this, right?
Sorry no pics from this week!!!! Next week for sure!!! Miss you and love you much!!!! :)
Ky sent a package home this week with some things that she won't be taking to Korea with her. There was also this letter inside for Kate from one of the Elders in Kyleigh's district. Too cute! :)
In other family news this week......
Brie and I got to help with some painting for our Stake's float for the upcoming Children's Pioneer Parade downtown...
These two left for our ward's Youth Conference early, early Monday morn. They ran the Colorado River in Moab. Fun, memorable time for them both. Kyleigh and I have such great memories of our River Trip adventure with the youth 6 years ago! HERE
The younger two and I had some fun things planned while Emma and Hannah were gone for three days...
We had color day!
We saw the new 'Inside Out' movie.
Super cute!
After the movie we went to the grocery store and they got to pick out their own dinner. I gave them each a set of colored dots and their challenge was to choose a food to match each one of their colored dots.
Used the same colors from the movie. ;)
We did a little color science experiment with this blaz'in hot weather we are having.
We played "Go Color". {It's like Go Fish!}
Nautical Day!
We had some fun in our neighbor's pool!
I decorated the table like a boat. And we ate on deck! ;)
On the menu....
zucchini Boats filled with quonia, fish sticks, salmon burgers, red fruits, and ocean blue lemonade.
The bags had red fishies in them. ;)
We did a nautical sand art craft.
More fun at the neighbors pool later in the week when the older girls got home!
Stay'in cool at Brie's friend's birthday party...
