Leap Day!
We did a little celebrating...using a froggy theme.
We ate frog eggs...{used the new coconut flavored m&m's..minus the brown}
And had Floating Froggies in Marshland!.... {lime sherbet with sprite, topped with marshmallows and a green and white strippity straw.
After dinner we had a little forced family fun and played a few games....Roll 29! The one rolling the dice x3 and getting the closest to 29 without going over is the winner. Three cheers for mom. The girls {I even joined in} wanted to do a leaping contest to see who could leap the farthest. So there we were taking turns running and leaping down the hall. haha. Emma was the winner at 88 1/2 inches! {It's those long legs of hers} And for the younger ones...Brie won the Pin the Crown on the Frog Prince and Hannah won Catch 29... finding the lucky frog with the 29 on it in the bathtub lilly pad pond.
I resurrected our froggy from the stuffed animal box, had a few green prizes to give out for the game winners, one being a ring pop {of course}. How could we not watch Leap Year where Amy Adams takes to heart an old Irish custom, dating back to the 5th century, that a girl can ask a guy to marry her on Leap Day? I swear it is one of the cutest shows ever!
