School ALWAYS starts way too early
in August for
our tastes!!
😂
But nonetheless, we rise to the occasion.
B is an 11TH grader!
Kate is a big kahuna of the elementary now...
6th Grade!!!
No more cutsie backpacks for this girl
On a funny side note:
I finally had to part with
all her big bows.
Boo!
These have been hanging on the
back of the bathroom door
UN-USED for a couple of years now.
I think the last time she wore them was 3rd
grade and that was probably pushing
it even then.
Since I work at the school,
I have one more year of seeing her
in the halls
and waving or sneaking a hug!
Our Hannie moved to Provo this past week
with one of her best friends.
Now she won't have to commute so far to UVU.
She is so excited for this new adventure!!
And we are so happy for her!! She's wanted
to live in Provo for a long time. HA!
In all things school....
Here is the Back to School treat I passed out
to our Young Women...
{from Marci Coombs Etsy shop}
This was our fam's Back to School breakfast!
Sunflower themed.
Be like a Sunflower!
Sunflowers face eastward in the morning and then follow the sun
as the earth moves during the day.
"As the sunflower follows the SUN,
So shall we follow the SON Jesus Christ."
{I used this same theme for our YW Sunday lesson/Back to School Brunch!}
of "good food" news.....
The Farmer's Market has opened up
for the season...
The hubs loves to go buy the herb bread.
It makes for phenomenal from THIRST.
And if you love PB you gotta try
Crave's Flutter Nutter Butter!!!
This German deli downtown has been on my list
for awhile now.
Finally got to try it.
Good golly THE PASTRIES!!!!
She had a kitchen/cleaning shower.
We gave her some of our favorite
cleaning supplies.
Her wedding reception was so so DARLING!!!!
Her florist used some of our teacups for the table decor.
😍
Hannah and Emma G.
have been friends for years!!!
THE CAKE!!!

In Miss Murray news....
Kyleigh has had the opportunity
a couple of times this month
to visit the Senior Center in Murray
while the elderly eat their lunch.
It was a joy to go with her and visit
with these sweet humans.
She also shared her 5 tips
for a happy Junior High/High School Life
to our ward's youth group.
She only has three more weeks
of being Miss Murray!!!
*****Olympic recap...
The hubs, Emmsie and I really enjoyed
The hubs, Emmsie and I really enjoyed
watching the Olympics.
My favorite events to watch are always the
Swimming and Gymnastics,
but in particular the Artistic
(Synchronized) Swimming,
{so so impressive to me} and
the Rhythmic Gymnastics,
I'm also a fan of the Equestrian,
Slalom kayaking, AND the diving,
especially the spring board.
This guy was my absolute favorite athlete
from the games to watch.
*****Emmsie is one the Activity Day Leaders
in our ward.
She recently held this fun Ice Cream
themed activity.
The leaders got "the scoop" on the kid's
first day of school. Who their teachers are,
what school subjects are their
favorite. They did an ice cream craft,
played a game with ping pong balls
and ice cream cones and ate mini
ice cream cones from Trader Joe's.
We have a tradish to take our YW girls
for ice cream
at Handels and also "get the scoop"
on the first day of school!
We have 4 girls that started Junior High!
Always fun to hear THOSE stories.
*****
My favorite thing to watch right now...
THE CHOSEN
Me, the hubs and Kyleigh have been
binge watching
Jesus together.
WE LUV IT!
