Our Birthday Girl!

I now have FOUR adult children...
how is THAT possible?

Brie received some hilarious 

and thoughtful gifts! 

Also an unexpected surprise at school in

 her student government class. lol

It so fits her that she is a 

Halloween time baby 

cuz Halloween IS her favorite holiday...

These Halloween-y cake balls made her 

just as happy as anything else. 

For the 18th birthday it's tra-dish to do a

picture timeline of the birthday girl. 

Spent a lot of time pouring over 

18 years of photos...

which was kinda hard on this mama heart. 

 I just look at it and wanna cry. haha

There were several activities at the 

high school the night of her birthday...

{SO MUCH going on that week}

She is an awesome sister. 

She took Kate and her friend

and they enjoyed football and drama improv. 

Two of her favorite things!

We combined our Halloween 

and Day of the Dead AND

Brie's birthday dinner all in to 

one celebration!

We had ourselves a flank steak dinner.

Fun finds...the French onion soup at Costco!

and the plates a few months back at TJ MAXX!

Of course we had to play 

a round of Clue after!

Other fun Halloween stuff!

Brie and friends participated in 

the Trunk or Treat at the high school.

They went as characters from the 

movie "Holes"

Emmsie and I decorated for them!

Halloween weekend she attended a

 charcuterie board party with friends...

She was in charge of bringing the candy....

Kyleigh was able to score 4 tickets to

the coveted Witches Tea at the Grand....

on Halloween Day!

It was a delightful afternoon...

That night...

cute trick or treaters on our porch...

Hannah dressed as a country girl for 

their Halloween party!

Some yummy food finds and eats 

these last few weeks...

Pumpkin goodies at the Trader Joe's...

Pumpkin spice ice cream from here....

Discovered a new French/Korean fused 

pastry shop close by... 

My French lov'in heart

skipped a beat when I stepped in.

Dinner group.... 

The hubs and I had a gift card 

to Mazza...

a Middle Eastern Cafe.

The chicken and potato Muttabak dish

was very tasty. Their dessert, Kanafe, 

was very interesting...

I felt like I was eating a flower of some

sort. 

Jaren's hot butterscotch pudding

with vanilla ice cream is the bomb diggity...

Not only gluten free cookies at this place...

but also a drink called Twitterpatted...

Instant flashback to high school days... 

{Used that word all the time! lol}

Fun outings...

Emmsie and I waited like two years 

to see Leanne Morgan, our favorite comedian,

finally come to Salt Lake...

I love her!

A new Rockwell's ice cream shop 

opened across from 

the Eccles...

You gotta try the Rockwell Road.

Glory, it was so good! 

The kiddos went on a quick trip to

St. George to the Tuacahn to see 

the last night of Joseph.

it's already snowed here!
