Halloween Decor
Love it! as long as it's not the yucky gory, overly spooky kind..I hate that part of Halloween. I have troubles even going into the Halloween costume shops. Such an icky feeling there...
I'll just stick to my cutesy holiday table thank you very much...
I resurrected the purple tree branches from the decor of Brie's b-day party last year...and put orange lights on them. Makes my heart smile. Some Mummy Love....
Got this cute idea and download from the Happy Home Fairy here. Bought some of my kids favorite candy bars. Raided our emergency first aid kit for gauze. Wrapped the candy bars in it and added some googly eyes...Surprised two of my girls by putting them in their lunches and two got them as an after school treat.
For my man! His car steering wheel was mummified. He was surprised Monday morning with a contained t.p. mess. {Our yard had been toilet papered Friday night and I'm sure when he first saw it through his car window he was thinking oh no! NOT more toilet paper. haha!} Actually he thought someone had broken into his car. Poor guy. His note said "Lets get wrapped in each others arms tonight."...{kinda sappy, but hey the point got across! *wink*}
Spider Lair
Another fun Halloween activity I did for the younger girls this week was make a spider web out of white crepe paper down the hall. Found my inspiration here. It was a surprise for Hannah and B. Olivia when they got home from school. The note said "Enter the Lair of the Spider Queen to get a treat...if you dare!
The spider webbed treat bag I just so happened to have kick'in around in my Halloween box. Worked perfect!
It was fun hearing how they reacted to the spidery webness when I got home. Dad got home earlier than expected and had to crawl through the web too to get into the office. Wish I could have seen that!
My favorite Halloween book!
A must read..every October. Love that Junie B.!
Costume Party
Brie dressed as the Sugar Plum Princess from the Nutcracker for her dance Halloween party.
We've got a birthday girl on our hands. Turning 7! Between a birthday and Halloween we've got some partying to do around here!
