Christmas festivities at our house...
On Christmas Eve Eve we had a littleJesus celebration
with some Bethlehem food
with some Bethlehem food
as we like to call it.
babka, hummus, olives,
middle Eastern flatbread,
cheeses, grapes etc.
And then watched some of this...
*****
Christmas Eve we had our traditional
Seafood Feast at Gma C's
Darcy was not.
😂
The girls also opened this fun little gift.
There was some merry bell playing
of Christmas tunes...
fun fact: I was actually a bell ringer in
my high school's Bell Choir!
Bells D and E were my specialty.
The Poppi read us
The Night Before Christmas...
Ho Ho Swiss Rolls left out for Santa...
Watched a little of this...Played Mrs. Claus
For my parents too!The girls all slept together in the
same room, which they've done
for years on Christmas Eve.
Along with the two dogs... it was quite the partay.
Christmas morn!Just a few of our favorite gifts...
I've never seen anyone so excitedto get a book series before. Especially
from someone who used to hate to
read when they were younger!
This is what Kyleigh's
bedroom wall looks like now...
It was fun helping her
put it up.
Europe old world vibes all around.
{Our favorite!}
Now she doesn't have to go to Europe
again, she can just stare at her wall. HA!
Another fun art gift were the presents Brie gave her sisters. She painted
them each a picture. Kate contributed
to the cause by buying the canvases
for it. So sweet!
B painted for hours over the break...
In more art news... Brie has been dying to get
classic fine art prints
to put on her bedroom walls.
The artist Jean-Honore Fragonard
is one of her favs!
SO she was super stoked about this
Christmas gift.
If she's not at her desk doing
homework or painting
you'll most likely find her in her
bedroom chair reading.
This girl has fun art all over her room!
This gift of Kate's, for her dad and I, was a hit as it was her very
last "handmade" Christmas gift
that she will make at the elementary
school. {Just had her last
Primary program too this month.
End of an era for us. Gosh!}
thoughtful gifts. She knows Brie
LOVES the Phantom of the Opera
so she ordered this bookmark for
a Lord and a Lady by purchasing
1 square foot of land in Ardallie, a small
hamlet in rural Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Hopefully we can get over there one
day to see the trees planted in our honor.
😂
The story behind Emma's {Plan D} gift
to Hannah....
using the fam's inside joke of
"You are A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G!!!" bahaha
One of my fav Christmas morning
moments for sure...
THEN all the girls surprised the hubs and I with a
"get away" certificate.
Prepping for Christmas Brunch...
Grandma's spread puts me in a food coma...
every time.
*****
More random yummy sights, sounds and smells...
*****The day after ....
G-ma apparently got the
color coordination memo for church. HA!
our Cooper Family Christmas Party
continued, on day 3, with the playing of the
7-11 dice gift game...
The trick to the game,
other than finding your gift from g-ma,
is to collect as many dots off
the smaller random gifts to turn them in
for cash or gift cards.
😜
I scored big time on the candles...
😂
Afterwards...Sunday Sundaes!
*****
During Winter Break....
Rummikub play'in...
toy play'in...
chill'in...
Lots of reading....
and I mean LOTS.
Emmsie, the hubs, and Kate read 3 books each,
Hannah 2 and Brie 5!!!
They put me to shame....
I did finish one....haha
which I've been reading this past whole month.
I loved it soooo much.
Love autobiographies and I love Frank!
More painting for Brie....
And girly movie watching...
on Christmas Night!
I finally watched this one thru for the
first time ever. I've never been into
this one. But my mind is changed.
Also enjoyed my sibling gathering...
Excellent food and company!
*****We rolled in the New Year!
{thank u Trader Joe's}
These fig crackers
and macarons {don't have a pic} were my
favorite find at Trader Joe's, and
from Macey's... this bacon cheese sampler.
So yummy!!
{Brie says this punch tastes just like
how the Micheal's Craft store smells...
It's true!}
More game play'in!and celebrating the ball drop!
{we could see fireworks from our
family room window}
and kick-lining to Frank's New York New York!
Happy New Year
from our family to yours!
