A bunch of randomness......
stuff I never got around to posting those last few weeks before school got out...
trips to the park...a real treat to even be hanging outside when all it practically did the month of May was rain!
This day we had the playground to ourselves. Soooo nice. It was still a tad overcast and nippy but NO RAIN.
We swung and slided, played tag in the field...
and got dirty in the sand...
The next day the sun was out and people were there in droves. We parked ourselves on the opposite side of all the people...{not a fan of crowded parks} and enjoyed a picnic lunch, just the
three us.
Kate's got the 'sipping from a straw' thing all figured out.
Brie has a green thumb...Brie has loved planting flowers with grandma in the backyard.
She takes this gardening business quite seriously.
She uses her grocery cart to transport the flowers to the backyard. Even little saucey was trying to help....
The girls have created a secret garden of sorts in the back. Will have to post more about this later...
Our trip to Scofield for Memorial Weekend.....
Oh man, this picture cracks me up. All this family togetherness in the vehicle dad said would count for the entire month of family home evening. haha! The desperate look on Hannah's face, of "how much longer" do I have to be stuck in this car?!?" {priceless} What normally takes us an hour and 50 minutes was more like a 3hr trip thanks to holiday traffic.

All conked out!
The girls had fun on the lake...too cold still to swim....Emma on Dad's pontoon...
Kate out by the dock....
The girls had fun hanging with their cousins as my brother and his family joined us for the weekend...
Dad taking Brie and cousin Braden for a ride...
Dad took the girls on an excursion up the mountain Saturday evening.... I would dare say it ended up being THE most memorable ride of their lives....
Dad was leading the girls down the trail, very slowly... only about 5 miles an hour, but somehow my niece lost control of the ATV she was driving after hitting a protruding rock....
Luckily she was able to hop off before the ATV rolled 240 feet down the mountain into this horrifying heap! Totaled the ATV.
So flipp'in scary! My niece walked away with only bruises but it could have been much, much worse..even fatal. Everybody was a bit wigged out after this. Frankly, I don't care if I ever get on one of these things again!
Royal Wedding memorabilia....my friend was recently in the UK for a month. She was over in Scotland when the Royal Wedding occurred. Look at all the goodies she brought home for me. *squeal*
I forgot to take a pic of the teacher appreciation gifts I did for Hannah and Brie's teachers in May, but they looked sorta like this. Got this idea from domestically speaking blog here. Go there if you want to read the darling poem.
