We enjoyed the long weekend!
Kids were out Friday AND Monday.
So nice.
Girls had sleepover at g-ma C's.
We had a nice snowfall that night.
After Kate's dentist appointment she and
Hannah went sledding with the cousins.
Kate got to join
the hubs and I for Vietnamese.
We tried out the new Cafe Trang Bistro.
There was a Cafe Trang on State that closed
months ago because the owners retired.
They had some of mine and the hubs
favorite meals
so we were pretty bummed.
This Cafe Trang has no affiliation
with the other restaurant, so they say,
but their ham fried rice is THE SAME.
So go figure, but
sooo happy about that.
Cuz it's the best!
Cuz it's the best!

Friday nights are one of my favorite times of the week!
Love watching a good Dateline,
20/20 or 48 hours.
Kate and I added a game of
"Trash" to our evening
with our Disney Villain cards.
It's one of our favorite card games.

On Saturday some siblings and I,took our mom to Provo
to visit her sister who is turning 90 this
month. We love this aunt so much...
She is a hoot!!
{my fav cousin popped in for a visit too!}
Beautiful Aunt Karma in younger days.
Look how cute this pic is of my
mom and her sisters.
She was one of 7 daughters and 4 sons.
Their mom, my g-ma, was one of 11 too!
WOW!

In other extended family news....
My brother Brad got to celebrate his
birthday at the Hill Air Force Base's
80th Anniversary hearing the
WWII "candy bomber" speak.
Hal Halverson is an incredible human being.
He will be 100 in Oct.!!
My brother loves all things History and
served in the Air Force as a JAG.
Pretty cool pic I say.

In more food news!
A few of us went for sushi on the holiday.
Kyleigh and Hannah love the Pink Lady roll
at this Sushi Bistro. It's legit pink.
We've been here before, years ago,
but the hubs and I prefer Cafe Seoul,
now HWA restaurant, by far.
Over the long weekend, I was able
to have two different
food dates with dear friends.
Always nice to chat and catch up
over a Red Robin Chicken Salad
and yummy tacos at Los Garcia Mexican Restaurant.
{First time there. I'll be going back!}
👍

Altho it may not look like it,
I did more than eat this past weekend.
😂
I finished this awesome book.
She is coming to speak at our
Stake Relief Society Conference
in February. Looking forward to that!

In YW news...
We have a total of 8 YW in our ward.
Three of them have b-days in January.
This is our gift to them to go along
with this year's Youth theme of "Go and Do."
{cute printable from marcicoombs on Etsy}
We had a fun YW's activity night recently at an
Escape Room.
Pirate themed.
It was very clever; however, I'm just not a fan of escape rooms.
The clues are way to random and elusive
for my brain. lol
