What's On My Happy List?

Goodness me Jane Austen lovers!

The new 8-part period drama
of Jane Austen's final, unfinished novel,
Sanditon, aired Sunday night
on PBS Masterpiece.

Apparently, Austen wrote eleven chapters
of this story before she died,
and noted screenwriter, Andrew Davies,
finished the rest of the plot.

I've only seen the first two episodes,
but I already have mixed reviews...
one, having to be exposed to the chubby
brother's naked bum..EW-eee!
{Didn't want to see that patootie! Nor did my 9 year old watching.} 

I'm just not quite sure how I
feel about it all yet..
need to give the storyline and characters
some more time.

We wanted to do something "English" to celebrate

the Sanditon premiere so we had 

afternoon tea on Saturday at one of the 

quaintest, and charming-est places 

I've laid eyes on.  

It's called Taste. 

In Provo. 

On University Ave.

This place is a must try if you 

are the slightest bit anglophile.

Kyleigh paid for all her sisters.

At Christmas she gives each of them

a Sister Date for their Christmas gift,

and this is what they all wanted to do!

So that was really convenient for her 

and extra nice on my pocketbook.

 The food was delightful.

 They offer different types of tea too...

I went for the iced chocolate instead!
It's an icy blend of French cocoa powder
and whole milk.
It was one of my favorite things of
the afternoon!

The savory sandwiches and scones 

with mascarpone cream and jam 

were also a hit!

I think our bellies were full by the time

we reached the third plate

of desserts,

but it was ALL DELICIOUS!

Besides reservations for afternoon tea
they have chocolate and vinegar mini-tastings
and fondue.
Or you can just walk in
and order from their menu.

It was a great time having two of my
nieces join us.

This mascara!

I have no more raccoon eyes!

{Praise the lord!}

Doesn't smudge or bleed.

I swear by this immune supplement.
I drink this in the mornings, and have a gummy
at night. It has done wonders keeping me
healthy from all the school-kiddo germs
I'm exposed to at work.

I use this on my face at night.
LOVE!

My hair styles better when it is dirty.

Therefore, I only wash my hair once a week, but 

I use dry shampoo every day. 

This is my favorite brand of dry shampoo.

 

You may find this strange, but we use

men's deodorant in this houseful of girls.

We have for years. 

It works better.

Old Spice Pure Sport is my 

current favorite smell.

It doesn't smell quite so masculine.

I can not tell you how much I love 

salted nut rolls.

Yum Yum to the Tum. 

I could eat one every day!

in Coconut Pineapple flavor!

{Pink Grapefruit is my second fav}
