A Peek Into Our Week....
Kate is so excited about the
new Lucky Charm Cereal
with Magical Unicorn Marshmallows.
"Chip" Cookies Ky ordered with
Lucky Charms in them.
π
*****
I got to attend an early morning breakfast
at the Jr. High where Brie got a
Hillcrest Hero Award.
Way to go B!
*****
Spring Break started for us last Friday.
π
Well, for me and the younger three anyway.
No Spring Break for the college kiddos.
π
*****
Celebrated a friend's b-day with lunchat a newer Thai place on State.
Enjoyed the Massaman Curry.
It's one of my favs!
Friday night was our monthly dinner group
night out...
We tried this Pizzeria in Sugar House!
I LOOOOOVED this PLACE!
π
Such yummy food.
The hubs and I shared the
Heirloom Brushetta for an appetizer.
I had a gluten free flat bread Prosciutto Pineapple Pizza.
His Ricotta Gnocchi was heavenly!
*****Saturday morning I attended a shower for my niece who is having Twin baby girls!!!
Such a blessing!
Look at this darling diaper cake my
sister-in-law made!
I did not partake.
My head was paying for the gnocchi I ate the night before.
My food allergy seriously complicates my love affair with food.
π‘π
Also that morning...
Hannah and Brie were able to go through the
newly renovated Jordon River Temple
with the Youth in our ward.
While Emmsie headed to St. George
for the weekend
with girlfriends
for a mission farewell.
This cute girl has been Emmsie's best friend since the 7th grade....
she is headed to Argentina.
Kyleigh went up to Crystal Hot Springs with friends....
The rest of us celebrated Brie's 4.0.
She wanted chicken at Zaxby's.
Brie is currently in a contest with hertwo best girlfriends to see who
can finish the B of M first!
Watch out!
She can be pretty competitive
when she wants to be.
Saturday night trip to the Leatherby's
with the hubs and the younger two.
Kate and I rented Gnome and Juliet in preparation to see the sequel.
I never saw this when it came out years ago.
And I've never been a fan of gnomes until now.
Quite cute.
I loved James McAvoy's voice.

On Monday I had the privilege of being an
usher for the
public open house
going on at the Jordan River Temple.
{That was an experience.}
Over 2, 000 people in just my four hour shift alone came through.
Guys, it's beautiful in there!!!
Later that day Emmsie, Brie, Kate,Grandma C and I went looking for a
baptism dress for Kate.
No luck so far...
only "I'll wear it if I have to"...
π
I and a couple of sisters
were envisioning more of
this type
of look for her
but that was a no go!
After looking and looking on line....we finally pin pointed her style.
Very classy, regal looking I think.
π
AND THIS is the dress she wanted...
but it wont be here in time.
So...who the heck knows...
it just adds to the craziness that is life.
We can't even be certain what day
we can get her baptized
without some type of conflict.
April 21st is looking hairier and hairier.
Even the Poppi suggested going over to the church
one of these nights and dunking her...
and be done with it.
Sorta sounding good to me.
π
*****
Those of us available went Tuesday night to see "Sherlock Gnomes"
$5 Tuesday's are great!
{It was entertaining enough,
but I liked the first one better.}
Kate got a little gnome to go in her
fairy garden!
π
Hannie was off with friends stargazing in the hills of Draper!
{Trying to knock off Sr. Bucket List To-Do's}
Which included a backyard campout the
next night!
*****
Ordinary days.....
Enjoying some reading time while Kate rode her bike around and around the park.
helped her with her caterpillars...
She is growing butterflies!
*****
I have run errands with my mom a couple times this week...
Quite the accomplishment when you figure there is over 70 of us!
Our trip to the DMV took the cake.
Had the laugh of our life!
We were trying to tell my dad about it whenI took her home.
{Elderly people are hilarious!}
*****
I know I've mentioned this before.
But I love this Australian series...
"A Place to Call Home"
It's been so nice watching season 5
over Spring Break.
{I suggest subscribing to Acorn TV long enough to watch...it's worth it π}
