mission update week 38
My first baptism in Korea is definitely not what I expected. I always thought that those I would help baptize would be someone I met on the street...taught all the lessons too...but the Lord works in mysterious ways people! I can testify to that! A mother and her 9 year old daughter were baptized on Sunday. The most amazing part is that the mom has been meeting the missionaries off and on for about a year, but the people that have truly helped her along the path to baptism are the Lord and the members in the branch. Some of her best friends are in this branch and they have been with her every step of the way. Member missionary work is soooo important. I know that now. When we were all baptized we promised the Lord that we would help others find the gospel. I know I never had the best attitude about member missionary work, but now that I see the blessings and miracles that come from it.. I KNOW how important it is. I feel blessed to have been able to see the end process of her receiving baptism. Watching her and her daughter be baptized makes me wish that I could remember my own baptism more fully. I encourage you all to look back on how you felt when you were baptized. If we remember how important it is we will want to help others receive the same joy and happiness :) love you all!

The baptism was super short and simple, but very beautiful and I was happy to be a part of it.
The little girl didn't want to be there. She was nervous and kept wanting to run out of the room. She is stink'in cute, but she kept talking and wasn't paying attention. She ran outside to play with her friends after she got baptized instead of coming back in to do the confirmation. We had to go chase her down. AHHHHH! It's hard. The kids here in Korea drive me nuts sometimes. I love them. I love them to death, but discipline here is very different than in America. The kids are running around during sacrament meeting, screaming, and playing games. It's just crazy!
He loves bowling...
we've gone three times in one month. haha.
In other family news this week...
The hubs took Hannah practice driving. haha.
I'm not sure what it is about the whole "learning to drive" thing but I find it quite high on my humor scale.
AND then seeing these kids head of to the driving range for the FIRST TIME EVER.
Hannie barely knows how to turn the car on.
{cracks me up.}

A little fun in the kitchen!

Good Eats!
The fam tried a new little sandwich joint.
My grilled pastrami reuben was really tasty... but on the pricey side.
All the sandwiches are.
Good grief.
I think I'll stick to Subway. ;)
someone accidentally burped in some one's face...
*****
Kindergarten field trip!
to the Nature Center...
I got to chaperon these four cuties...
do'in a cute litte groundhog craft...
*****
Drill!
Drill State Dinner!
Performing at the State Prelim's!
The team did not advance to the State Finals...
{and we are totally okay with that.}
Hannah is actually doing a happy dance cuz drill is basically over for the year other than a few performances here and there.
Brie was equally excited.
No more sweaty drill shoes stink'in up their room or alarm clocks going off at an insane early morning hour.
We didn't even have to drive all the way to Disneyland to get one of their favorite treats.

Friday Favorites!
These SONGS!...
Electric Love by BORNS
Cake by the Ocean {the clean version} by DNCE
Adventure of a Lifetime by COLDPLAY
James Corden!
The host of the late late night show which I've never stayed up to watch. But my gosh I love him. His Carpool Karaoke segments on YouTube are the bomb. He is just one happy dude. You cannot possibly watch him and not smile when he sings.
AND then. I love me some Coldplay.
{They are one of my FAVORITES!}
So combine the two and I'm currently crush'in on this video with Corden and Chris Martin. So funny! The Adele and One Direction karaoke's are fantastic too. ;) The one with Stevie Wonder could even make you shed a tear.
