Kyleigh in Korea
mission update week 31
I hit my 7 month mark!
It's definitely been another long crazy week. Some days were just super busy with appointments. We also went on exchanges. Guess who came here to go on exchange with me? Sister Johns, my MTC companion! We had a really good time. We got to teach two lessons together. It's crazy to see how much her Korean has improved. She is miles ahead of me language wise. It was fun to see her and hang out with her for the day, but hard too, because I feel like I'm behind where I should be in speaking the language. Everyone says it will come and that it will just take time.
Our investigator, Chloe, didn't show up at church. We tried reaching her numerous times but couldn't get a hold of her. That's been a bit of a worry. Her mom does not approve of her joining the church.
Today is my companions last P-day as she goes home this week. One of her converts from another area is coming to meet us here and we are spending the day together!! I found out I will be going to Hogue, an area by ours to be a trio for a week and a half with two American sisters. ..Sister Hoffman who's been out for over a year and her trainee, Sister Anderson who just got to Korea. We will cover their area and my area. For Christmas I might go on splits with my member friend Sister Moore and Skype you from their house.
I love you all so much. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and I'll talk to you real soon! :)
In other family news....
Hannah's first Drill competition!
This pic was taken sometime in the 4:00 AM hour.
It was a LOOONG day for the team. A 14 hour gig.
They took 4th place in 4A with their hip hop routine. Way to go girls! :)

My friend Karen and I were in charge of refreshments for our Stake Center's 50th year celebration.
I love our church building.
It has history.
I went to church here growing up...My hubs did too as a teenager.
It's neat to have our kids doing the same.
We served a cake bar!
{Did you know Sams's Club has way better selection of desserts than Costco?
And it is so less crowded to shop there.
Just thought I'd throw that out there in case you are in need of any yummy desserts for upcoming holiday celebrations}
These are some of the old folk who helped in the building of our Stake Center back in 1965.
My Dad was one of them.
He spoke at the commemoration and told some funny stories about his
experiences.

The hubs sent off 'his first missionary' from our ward this week since becoming Bishop.
He's kinda excited about that.
This Elder is going to Hong Kong, China.
Hello Winter Wonderland!
Such a gorgeous site to me. I love the snow!
Kate and I had some fun in it.
My Snow Angel!

Brie had her Christmas Choir Concert at school.
Very cute how they tied in Christmas songs with a 50's Soda Shop theme.
*****
I helped with Kate's Kindergarten class Christmas party.... at the ornament table.
I get to help every school day in her classroom for the first few minutes with any kiddos that have sight words to pass off. I love that little volunteer job. Such a cute class!
Can't believe that Christmas Eve is a week from today. This month has just flown. We've got one crazy weekend ahead of us. Bracing myself. haha

Taking it back two years ago for Throwback Thursday HERE
