My Christmas Princess!
This was the marvelous scene on my way to the Mo Tab Christmas Concert at the Conference Center last Thursday night. I was thrilled to death that I had scored a ticket. squeal. I thought I'd be holding up one of my desperate "need ticket signs" somewhere on a downtown corner, in the frigid cold.
{Everyone by now has got to know how much this concert means to me. It would not be Christmas for me if I didn't see it.} Brie had told me a few days before that she had said a prayer that I would get a ticket. Her little prayer was answered bless her heart. I seriously hung up the phone from the unexpected ticket giver and cried happy tears..
It was an extra doozy night calendar wise for me to just drop everything and go to a concert, but I did thanks to my hubs who did some master juggling... running around taking and picking up the girls. We usually divide and conquer together. Since he was flying solo I wrote the poor guy a schedule, so ya know...he wouldn't leave a kid anywhere. This particular night we had them every which way..music lesson, choir concert, dance rehearsal, team party...
A Dancing Weekend!
We were up to our eyeballs with dance on Saturday. It was such a fun day, yet exhausting at the same time. Kyleigh had an all day drill competition at UVU, and Hannah & Brie had their dance recitals. Go figure! Everything falls on the same day around here. It was one of those days where I was wishing I could be in two places at once. Dad spent the day with Kyleigh while I helped the other girls. By a small miracle I was able to rush down and catch at least one of Kyleigh's routines. I think by the day's end Dad had sat through over a hundred dance routines. He's a super drill daddy!!
So my favorite moment getting the girls ready for their recitals was when Brie told me that one time a girl from dance was complaining to her about her itchy costume...Brie said to her..."Beauty hurts, get used to it."
{Love my Brie!}
Also a huge shout out to Emmsie on dance day...she was a major help to me..tending and doing hair etc...
Hannah is in the second to highest dance group so she danced in all 6 shows! At 9:30. 11:30. 1:30. 3:30. 5:30 and 7:30...{I managed to attend 3 of them} Hannah danced two numbers in each show, three if you count the finale each time. That would be dancing 18 times throughout the day with 12 costume changes as she has three costumes. How I only got her photographed in her Jazz costume baffles me, and of course she refused to put the other costumes on for a photo shoot once we got home. But after the day she had I don't blame her. {I think she slept til noon the next day.} On top of dance we had the ward Christmas Party that night too, and Emma had a friend's ice skating birthday party to be to.. I'm telling ya we were every which way on this day too...It was nuts!
Little Brie did fabulous in her two shows....
Two of my nieces had their little girls in the recital too...{that makes me feel old} but we couldn't track down little Sophia after to get her in the pic...
It was pretty darn neat for my parents to see not only granddaughters dance but great grand daughters too.
So the drill girls got some amazing results from all their hard work..In 4A Murray took first place in hip hop, second in military, and fourth in dance...The team was stoked!!
K, so... Kyleigh had a special visitor at the competition. You remember this guy Kyleigh was wigging out that she got a picture with back in September during Homecoming Week?
Well all I got to say is if you ever question whether dreams really do come true... Just come talk to my daughter.
Them together is about the cutest thing ever!

My best Christmas present yet..... We got more mo tab choir concert tickets for Sunday. {die}.
I enjoyed the concert even more on this day. Glorious experience, I'm telling you.
The weekend just kept going on and on with more festivities...Sunday night the neighbors gathered for chili and then went caroling together. I think Kate was the most excited about the caroling part, but after a few houses she called it a night.
Quote of the week for sure..."KEEP CALM AND GET YOUR HO HO HO ON"
On Monday, Hannah went on a Junior High Choir tour. Kate and I went and watched her sing at one of their stops with other mommy friends and then joined them for lunch...very fun!
Hannah and Brie have decorated their room all Christmas-y with their little trees and dangling lights...I pass by their room and it makes my heart smile!
