K I know Vampires are no where near ordinary but we are a tad bit obsessed with them right now. Just in time for Halloween. **wink** Had a girlfriend over with her four girls on a Friday night to have a Vampire marathon with Hannah and I. Still trying to get all caught up before Season 5 starts in October. Made chocolate cake waffles and loaded it with vanilla ice cream and whip cream and red strawberry topping for a Vampire treat!
IS this not the cutest vintage jewelry box? I wanted to keep it! Emmsie has a tradition of giving her friends Paris boxes for their birthdays. {We find them at a bargain.} One of her best friends had her 16th b-day recently...she was the lucky girl to get THIS!
Well hello up there!
Kate and I enjoyed a trip to the park on a overcast day. LOVE that the weather is cooling off...finally!
Emmsie is taking Driver's Ed this semester. That's her in the white car! I don't know what it is about Driver's Ed but the whole thing just makes me giggle. She has a much harder teacher than Kyleigh ever had so its starting to lose its humor.... a little. She has all these driving exercises to check off weekly where where we have to grade her driving skills on a 1 to 10 scale. That, on top of range driving AND road driving. The latter takes place at 5:15 in the morning. It's a killer! Are teenagers even alert and coherent enough at that time to be driving? I know mine aren't. Good thing the roads are clear at that time in the morning! Gosh, I laughed my head off when I heard about her first early morning experience driving with the teacher and two other students.
Annual carnival at the Elementary school.
Fairy glitter and face paint...
Kate's face!
Making crafts with mom!
Kate making messes...she's good at those! She said she was writing a story...
Emmsie was supposed to head a neighboring ward's annual parade playing her pipes, like she did last year, but a huge rainstorm got in the way. She was all suited up and no where to go. She played out on the porch...the neighbors and who ever was at the park got a lovely impromptu recital and then she went to play for her grandma and grandpa.
This time of year is nutso at our house. Trying to keep up every one's schedules.... I feel like a logistics major!
We are in the middle of Homecoming Week at the high school... such a fun time for us...football, pep assembly, performances, THE DANCE. I'm going to have stories to tell real soon. **wink**
