B. Olivia the Kindergarten Graduate! She got all E's on her report card, that's 'E' for Excellent!
She came home to this homemade 'Welcome To Summer' poster on the front door.......And a cute smartie pants card {thanks to a free download from it is what it is } that I made for each of my girls on a job well done.
Hannah was all smiles when I picked her up from school! We all headed to our traditional last day of school spot for Ice Berg shakes....after I rounded up my two oldest girls...
I'm telling ya once they hit Jr. High its a whole other ball game. I think I know their plans but when they get with their group of friends their plans change constantly... After yearbook signing, one walked with friends to Coldstone and then to Carl's Jr. where they were asked to leave due to being overly crazy. hmm...Imagine that. {pictures of that outing hopefully being sent our way soon} Another one walked with friends down State to Subway {it's a walk}, and then back down to B & N, and then over to Murray Park. Apparently they like to roam the city. The girls seem to be a little outnumbered here. And I don't know about you but some of these boys do not look like high school sophmores!
And then I shuttled them off to an afternoon movie where they were meeting up with more friends...and then it was a friends house for dinner, back to our park for night games and then to a sleepover. Its been a constant party for Kyleigh the last two days...
As Thursday was official "sluff day", pool party, dinner at Olive Garden and then 9th grade promotion.
and then off to a dance or dances I should say. Some of the Hillcrest 9th graders, including Kyleigh, left their dance to crash the Riverview Jr. High's promotion dance which was across the street at the High School. They were able to see some of their friends they went to elementary school with and will be joinging up again for High School.
Anyways one of my favorite things to do on the last day of school is looking and reading the girl's yearbooks. Hannah's teacher thanked her for being such a wonderful student. One teacher of Kyleigh's paid her the nicest compliment saying "What a superb person you are! I admire your depth, poise and kindness. You my dear are going to make this world a better place just by...being you." {isn't that sweet?} Emma received several nice teacher compliments as well, being told she had amazing talent from one teacher and her 7th grade pre-Algebra teacher saying she was an amazing student and one of the smartest students she has ever taught! wow.
Look at this fun free download from here . It oozes summertime. Hoping some of these activities can make our happy list this summer.
Happy Summer!
