Oh yum! Thanks to my talented friend Wendy, the author of the book, "101 Gourmet Cupcakes", we've been making a lot more cupcakes around here lately. It's cupcake heaven for any cupcake lover. Just what my growing belly doesn't need. Ha! Her recipes are so easy, which makes them quick and enjoyable to make. We concocted these festive cupcakes last night for FHE. The sprinkled peppermint and white chocolate chips for the topping make them so delightful.
My love for apothecary jars and other glass kitchenware got the best of me yesterday too. I found these two random glass pieces from my cupboard and pantry late last night to come up with a cake pedestal to display the cupcakes on. I'm not sure why I get so much satisfaction out of creating these stands but I do, even if they aren't glued together!
My other project yesterday was trying to duplicate a beautiful jar of candy I recently saw displayed at one of my favorite little shops. My inspiration didn't quite measure up to the original but that's okay, it was still fun to make and the jar itself, which I got on sale (squeal), makes me happy....
