A Twist of Peppermint & Bridal Showers....
Kyleigh, Dori and I attended a "personal" bridal shower for my
future sister-in-law Angie and all her girlfriends. We were
told to come in comfy p.j.'s (I actually wore p.j. bottoms out
in public! LOL) and bring gifts to help her get ready for her
wedding night... (O-la-la), a romantic evening with her hubby
or something to make her feel pampered. Because of the "type"
of bridal shower coupled with the invitation saying to be there
right at 6:30 AND to not be late, I'll admit I was wondering if
we were going to have some male (should we say visitor) jump
out of a cake or something!!! Maybe I should keep Kyleigh home
I thought. Well, none of that came to pass (thank goodness)....this
hunk on one of her gift bags was about as close as we got to
anything like THAT happening (darn)....Okay, I'm kidding...LOL
(close your eyes Kyleigh :)....
She received gifts a little bit naughty and a whole lot of
nice....
For us, since a 12 yr old was involved in the mix, we opted to
give Angie a "pamper"gift. She loves the color "RED" and the
smell of peppermint so we bought her a basket full of
"Twisted Peppermint" holiday products from Bath and Body
Works... She loved it!
The game we played produced a lot of laughs...funny stuff!
But I will not go into detail on that. :)
LOVE the Peppermint B&B Works this year! Its' RED! And I about died of mortification when my inlaws wanted to throw me a personal shower. Somehow the idea of pouncing around in a little something his eighty three year old aunt gave me on my wedding night gave me the creeps.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had way too much fun! :) Did you watch the Amazing Race finale last night? We had no sound for most of the show for some reason so we had to read the subtitles - bummer! Where were Dallas & Toni at the finish line?!
ReplyDeleteI love that scent from Bath and Body. Just a guess, but did the fun bridal shower game involve a potato and some pantyhose? Cause that game is H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S-!
