What's on my Happy List?
Okay, you would have thought someone had died had you witnessed my life post American Idol. I've been on such a natural high for weeks with all this American Idol hoopla that now that it is over, I seriously had to go through some type of grieving process to recuperate. Not sure that I've made a complete recovery yet, (because seriously what am I going to do on Tuesday nights now?) but I just had to record some of my favorite memories of this amazing 4 month, once in a lifetime journey that David Archuleta has taken me on.
*David Archuleta's voice and smile*memories of voting faithfully every Tuesday night for months** hob nobbing with people that know David the best at the three At&t go-phone texting parties I attended** a record 97 million votes casted on finale week** using multiple methods of voting all at the same time...two go phones in hand, my cell phone, my land line phone, and the international computer voting feature through Gizmo**spending hours at Murray High programing the new go-phones that had been donated from fans all over the country**my daily involvement with the David Archuleta fanblast website* my e-family** the Archies and Golden Archies** Brett Kane Hales and Dar Seacrest** O.D.D. Obsessive David Disorder**being interviewed on fan blast**downloading Gizmo on neighbor's computers so they could maximize their votes for David**being the ringleader of our "Vote for David" weekly parades through the neighborhood in our decorated cars, the last one culminating with 10 cars, over 50 people involved and two news stations coming to see what all the ruckus was about**Randy Jackson's "That was molten hot!"**Everything about David's Day right here in Murray Utah** watching the finale with all the fans at the Energy Solutions Arena....a dream come true**one of our David signs being singled out by the Idol host**being on Fox 13 News**Pineapple Boy**the screaming, hooping and hollering like I've never done before in my life (other than BYU football games)** my obsession coming close, if not surpassing that of IL DIVO**my supportive husband**my neighbor's claiming I would have been a groupie in the 60's**American Idol ice-cream**the chills and the many tears listening to David sing**being in LA the morning after and giving a shout out when we passed the Nokia Theatre where the finale was held**David and Simon are knockouts** Kyleigh being interviewed by Channel 2** Sweet Caroline (my kids favorite)**our CD of David's songs downloaded off of I-tunes**you could sing the phone book** David vs. David** re watching and re watching David's performances on YOU TUBE**the moments leading up to the big announcement and the biggest anti -climatic moment of my life**David coming in second place and I say that only because he's free from the controlling and restrictive Idol contract,* he can now sing what he wants and record his first Cd with whomever he chooses**David's last three performances**the laughs and tears going to the car wash to wash off all the David Archuleta decor and realizing some of the most exciting weeks that I've had in my life were over* Back Stage passes to the American Idol concert**DAFTW**
