She invited close friends and family
to watch her practice
for each competition event.
She showed everyone her
"Show Us Your Shoes Parade" costume,
ramp gown, opening production dress,
her evening gown, interview dress,
took on stage questions,
gave her 30 second social impact pitch
and performed her talent.
It was kinda awkward taco for her
as it was a one woman
show but she did awesome
and it was good practice for Miss Utah...
which is next week!!!
Here's one of her on stage walks...
The "Show Us Your Shoes" Parade
is an opportunity for each contestant to
choose shoes that represent something
about them or the city/title
that she represents.
Kyleigh choose Italian Village in Murray.
Our family LOVES IV's pizza benders
and she's lived in Italy, so it works.
She's gonna wear a Roman Greek Goddess costume
with these gladiator gold heels.
We put lots of things to represent Italy
on display...like the statue of David,
a gondola, a Venetian mask etc...
Emmsie did the cool writing for the
book covers...
This project has also been a family affair...
in designing, modge podging,
spray painting,
glueing, glittering...
Refreshments we served after.
Kyleigh with her pageant director.
The one and only Miss Lloyd.
She cracks us up!!!
She knows pageantry to a T...
In other Miss Murray news...
The three of us were able to
drop off the last batch of shoes
Kyleigh collected for Soles for Souls.
The hubs was a happy man to finally
get his garage back...
*****
End of year school activities for Kate...
Kate was Amelia Earhart for
her Amazing American project.
She humored me and wore
an old fashioned pilot's cap.
Kate was hybrid most of the year- up until the last 8 weeks she
went back normal schedule...
Overall the school year felt super
strange and it went SO FAST!
No masks were required the last week...
that was nice!!!
Kyleigh and I got to help volunteer at
the elementary school's fit fun run...
End of Year gift for Kate's teacherwho loves coffee.
B got her license
and is now an official Utah driver!!!
To celebrate THAT and the last day of school
we found the corndog truck!
We were so excited.
Haven't had one of these in
a looooong time.
On this day we also got to meet
Mr. Darcy's NINE
new half siblings...
as a pup!
Also on this day....
The hubs got to speak at graduation
with his school board duties
AND be the one to hand the only
graduating senior girl in
our ward her diploma.
I found this cute girl
MHS orange roses to give to her
from us YW leaders.

Darcy's mama came to visit him
on his b-day weekend.
He's lov'in the gift we

We went up to Scofield
on Darcy's birthday.
That was his first time up there.
He quite enjoyed himself.
Kate made him a doggy applesauce, carrot cakewe were pooped!!!
Basically took a family nap!
FUN FYI: gluten free Oreos are just as good
as the real ones.
*****Had the privilege of taking some
Youth in our ward
to put flags on veterans graves.
Then on Memorial Day me, my sister,
Emmsie and Kyleigh took gma and gpa
to three cemeteries to put flowers
on loved ones graves...
It was an adventure.

past his alma mater...
