Bonjour!

Bonjour!
I’m a 51 year old mother of five amazing daughters and wife to a caring, sensitive AND sexy husband. I adore my family. I’m dedicated to my faith. I enjoy a good laugh. I'm nostalgic and love to reminisce. "Remember" is my favorite word in the English language. I love life! I’m passionate about music, food and {dreams of} traveling the world. I wanna be a castle and waterfall chaser. I’m fascinated with anything European. {PARIS! Hello!} I love celebrating anything and everything! I love to read, especially a good biography, mystery, Regency Era Romance or Historical fiction novel. I love thoughtful gift giving. To me the gift wrap is almost as important as the gift itself. I have a bit of an obsession with gift boxes and gift bags. As well as old world maps & globes, apothecary bottles and jars! I love being creative…bolts of ribbon, coordinating scrapbook papers, producing a table scape, or planning décor for a themed party puts a smile on my face. I love the details! I’m a freak for anything theme oriented. I enjoy event planning, but oddly enough do not like to host or entertain. I enjoy fashion, but have to really be in the mood to clothes shop. I love purses and funky costume jewelry. Especially big rings! I’d rather wear wedges or heels any day than flats. I enjoy decorating and searching for the perfect decorative pillow or picture. However, you’ll never see me frequent high-end stores. I'm more of a Ross, TJ Maxx, Tuesday Morning kind of gal. My favorite decor style is an old world rustic Italian chateau/Spanish Villa look with a hint of bohemian! OR a vintage shabby chic French country cottage/English cobblestone farmhouse. My #1 cookie-Molasses! Autumn is my favorite season. I’d go through childbirth a million times. I enjoy biking with my man, Pilates, and power walking. You’ll never find me in a gym working out. I love movies, whether watching them in the theatre or cuddled up on the couch with my family. I enjoy a good chick flick or real life drama! I'm a sucker for movies on the Hallmark & Great American Family Channel. I have a tender heart for the elderly. I adore Disneyland. I enjoy being in the canyon on a summer or fall evening at dusk. I love my friends. While I have some extroverted characteristics. I’m a self proclaimed introvert. I’m generally quiet, calm, reserved and pretty darn private. Why in the heck do I blog? It’s a creative way to record family history. I enjoy photography. I really don’t like to write, although I write in my journal often. My journals, patriarchal blessing, scriptures, quote book, and beloved Christmas tree filled with ornaments of family memories are among my prized possessions. I love the beach. I enjoy WWII history. I love a clean, orderly house, but ours usually looks lived in. ;) PBS Masterpiece is my friend. I adore Jane Austen films. They transport me to another time and place. If I had to choose another time period in which to live, early 19th Century England would be my pick. "Sense and Sensibility" is my all time favorite movie. My 3 favorite TV series are...BBC's Larkrise to Candleford, the 1950's Spanish Drama "Velvet," and the travel/food show "Somebody Feed Phil." My biggest pet peeve is people who blow their noses in public. So gross! {Take it to the bathroom people.} I’d go on a wine tasting vacation if it wasn’t against my religion. I’ve always wanted to adopt a baby from a foreign country. I’m an avid BYU football fan. I'm a Educational Support Professional. I tutor elementary kids in phonemic awareness, phonics, reading, fluency and comprehension. I love our campfires at Scofield Lake. I have a 'thing' for fairy gardens, Gallic French roosters, fresh flowers in a vase, pretty bowls & plates, and yummy smelling candles & soap. I love summer rainstorms and warm baths. I'm a scripture podcast fanatic. I'm also a fan of several Fox News shows; Hannity and Dave Ramsey Talk Radio. I very much miss Rush Limbaugh! I hate when my kids have homework. I'd rather clean 20 toilets than give a talk or prayer in church. I have quite a collection of Madame Alexander Dolls, children's books, Disney pins, and quotes. My favorite quote is "Don't underestimate me. I know more than I say, think more than I speak & notice more than you realize." True True LOL! I always prefer sitting in a back row versus the front. {I'm sort of a seat snob..yikes} I also have high expectations for my lemonade, salsa, and french fries too. HA! I work well behind the scenes. I love a good Dateline, 20/20 or 48 Hour Mystery. I’m a night owl. I'd rather be cold than hot. I love to budget our finances! I enjoy being a chauffeur to my children. I'm not a huge fan of social media. I don't snap, pin or tweet. All I want for Christmas every year is a ticket to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. It's my FAVORITE. I’m an Anglophile…a royal watcher who loves anything English! Especially tea parties! I would like to serve a church mission to England with Jaren someday. I'm queen of paper towel, used kitchen dishrags and sponges kinda make me squirm. You’ll rarely find me out of the house not ready for the day, except when driving the kids to school on the days I don't work. I feel naked without lipstick or lip gloss. Mismatched socks, chipped fingernail polish, chapped lips and brownie crumbs on the floor drive me nuts! I like to organize and BE organized..but not saying I always am. ;) I enjoy hiking to waterfalls, ATV’ing with my family and snowshoeing with the hubs. Although I enjoy collecting recipes and occasionally watch cooking shows... (Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade, Paula Deen, Jamie Oliver, and the Pioneer Woman are my favorites) I’d rather not cook. Eating out is so much more fun. I'm a foodie. I live to EAT! LOL Trying new foods and restaurants is a favorite past-time, and believe it or not so is intermittent fasting. I'm not good at a lot of things... but gosh, if you need help with a themed celebration or someone to enjoy good food with, I'm your girl. I love the joy of anticipation and the celebration of holidays. Family traditions are important to me. I'm a memory preserver. I'm a pathological picture taker ;) a visual storyteller, and a lover of happy lists!

What's On My Happy List?

This cute girl turned sweet 16!!!

Her dog, Mr. Darcy, that she got

in the summer for Christmas/and

birthday is like the gift that just

keeps on giving....
😂
she still hauled in a few surprises!!
She was so excited to finally
get her learner's permit...
She will be taking Driver's Ed
next semester.
🙌
We went Italian
Buca di Beppo style
for her birthday dinner.
Whoa!
That place is eye popping...
I hadn't been there in like 20 years. haha
Frank was my favorite pic
out of the fifty billion on the walls.
These two have been having
some quality time watching
Harry Potter late at night.
*****
Kate is returning to the classroom
two days out of the week.
This was her first day
{back at the school}
of 5th grade!
Darcy was so happy to see her
when we went to pick her up!
She and him are good buddies.
Enjoying the first snowfall of the season...
and 18 degree weather!!!
😏
A hot cocoa bar and
pumpkin chocolate chip cookies
were a must after that weekend
weather.
*****
In other food news...
The hubs out did himself on this one.
I tell my girls...marry someone
that can COOK!
This is hands down one of my favorite soups.
Chicken Coconut Milk soup
from the Thai Tea Rose Diner
in downtown Murray.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip
custard from Nielsens.
*****
The latest in dog life....
Darcy got a visit from his mama Phoebe...
*****
In Miss Murray adventures....
Kyleigh and her attendants dressed up and
greeted kids at the Murray Haunted Woods...
Her people even came.
She has such great friends who support
her in everything she does.
Emmsie did an amazing job on
her Jasmine hair-do!
Kyleigh also did a meet and greet
Monster Mash Bash
with her Little Miss' elementary school class.
{Over Zoom of course because of Covid.}
She also had a girl's night with her attendants
carving pumpkins...
She gave them these
cute party favors I whipped
up...
In other Kyleigh news....

Kyleigh had her last {we think}
BYU dance performance as she's trying to
graduate in December.
With there being no Christmas Around
The World Concert in December,
due to stupid Covid,
they had to do this concert instead and
just stream it and dance with masks on!
She's made such great friends and loves
dancing so much she is desperately
going to miss this part of her life.
Folk dance just fits her to a T.
It meshes her love of dance, the world
and her appreciation
for different cultures.
This is her instructor, who is the wife
of the guy that was my clogging
teacher at BYU, and who Kyleigh
is sorta named after.
😜
*****
In other random....

Lov'in the facial hair!
Especially the gray.
Happiness in a box....
B attended a Sophomore
painting pumpkin social at the
high school.
She and I, along with our young women,
got the privilege of raking leaves and
pulling up dead flowers for a
sweet widow in our ward.
Perfect fall activity!
And then THIS random news....gosh darn it.
HE is one of my all time favs..
This family LOVES James Bond
and he is also in one of mine and Emma's
favorite movies...
First Knight!
😭
We are ready for Halloween....
 {the porch is anyway}
😜
😂
Nonetheless... Here's a sneak peek at
our costume theme this year!
👏👏👏
*****
And now to one of my favorite past-times
....collecting political memes...
Here's a few good ones!
and P.S. don't let the door hit your butt!...

Then this last one is my absolute fav!
Hoping like heck that this is the case
on Tuesday like it was in 2016!
I'm a proud Trump supporter and still
find it pretty darn cool that Jaren is on
the same ballot as him...
like he was 4 years ago.
I'm not one to vocally voice
my political opinions
on social media other than my personal blog,
 but I finally reached
my breaking point the other night
and uncharacteristically posted a comment.
A few things I CANNOT stand are...
"I'm better/more righteous than you" mentality
{especially if it's coming from the LDS community}
and people who think they are "right"
all while being ignorant of the facts.
Makes my blood boil.
It was time to speak up!
So if you want to know how I really feel
here ya go...😂

Perspective is a funny thing. I’m not offended at all by Lee’s comment. Next to Jesus Christ, Captain Moroni is my fav scripture hero and I too see the similarities in the sense that they were/are commander and chiefs... fighting for liberty and freedom. What’s so wrong about that? I’m pretty sure that’s all Senator Lee meant by it. Trump is a true patriot who loves God, country & family and fights everyday for ALL Americans. Sadly, most people don’t have a clue what he has done the past 3.75+ years thanks to the liberal biased main stream media. I feel sorry for those that have such a warped view of our President. He’s not evil or racist. If people would do their research you will find he’s done a lot for the Black, Latino and Gay/Lesbian communities and is a strong advocate for women. But you’d never hear any of that from msm’s blatant lies, half truths and out of context information about him. I’m grateful I’m not ignorant about who he is, his policies and all the positive things that he’s done for our country. Instead I’m grateful for him and his leadership. I won’t bother posting my list of his 200+ accomplishments. He’s not a perfect person, no, but neither am I, or any of you. I agree he’s hot headed and brazen, but actions speak louder than words in my mind and he’s done his best to keep his promises to the American people. That’s what is important to me. My 88 year old parents, two of the most descent, kind, moral human beings I know are big supporters of Trump. And they, like myself, are praying like hell that he is re-elected. And truth be told there are millions out there like us who feel the same. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and I respect that, but I’m tired of people on their self righteous high horses attacking a man I have great respect for. A man who upholds the constitution and literally works day and night to keep America the blessed nation that it is. If your hatred for one man is greater than your love for this country, and the rights and liberties we are desperately trying to keep,
than YOU are the problem.
Love and grace to you all! ❤️

There is so much at stake for our country
riding on this election.
I'm so over the sickening hypocrisy,
double standards, and corruption the
left continuously gets away with.
Hope Trump takes Biden DOWN big time...
and along with him... the D.C. swamp,
crazy liberal Hollywood
celebrities and athletes, biased main stream media, big tech censors,
academia know-it-alls, the radical rioters and looters...and on and on...

Go Go Trump and
God Bless America even more so than ever!!
