Spring Break Roundup
Girls Night Out! While dad was at Priesthood the Cooper girls had our traditional girls night out. Grandma C took us to dinner and then she {bless her} tended Kate while I took the older girls to see the new Snow White movie.... Mirror Mirror. {Pleasantly surprised at how cute that movie was.} I took the opportunity to tell my girls how beautiful they are by giving them a hand mirror with a tag attached with the infamous line...."Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?" I added YOU ARE! and to tie in the 'bad' apple I encouraged them to never let the poisonous influences of the world make them think otherwise. I happened to find the cutest collection of Snow White Pez at the World Market. {has to be one of my favorite stores}
Our Evil Queen!
Our traditional Conference crepes....YUM!
Here's a tip to keep a 7 year old occupied during Conference. Puzzles! It's a great activity to sit quietly and listen while you work. Brie and I put a gazillion puzzles together ...This is less than one sessions worth but it kept her somewhat engaged in the conference experience. To keep Kyleigh a teenager awake while listening to Conference.... have them take notes of all four sessions of Conference. And just like that they've got 8 hours towards a 10 hour Value project. If you add taking notes from the YW General Conference meeting from last week...you are so darn close to a completed project.
City Creek...can I just say Salt Lake did good with this dig! Absolutely beautiful. Although the majority of the stores are so high end that I could never, nor would I want, to buy anything in them, it was fun to see. We did browse a few more up our alley. Love Culture being Kyleigh's new favorite. {Poor Emmsie missed out on the family outing as she was at home not feeling well.}
A Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory candied apple!
Brie and Kate loved the lighted fountains!
Shooting!
Dad took Kyleigh and Emma target shooting out by Utah Lake. They had a blast! {literally} Dad is trying to talk me into getting a pink gun...haha. Can you picture that?
Picnic!
Brie and Hannah fixed us a picnic lunch and we tried out the new playground at Wheeler Farm. We had to drag the littlest home kicking and screaming...
Along with our Lorax Party and Titanic Tea, kids playing night games with neighbors, movies, dinner with friends, shopping with my mom, and 'One Direction' performing on The Kids Choice Awards {that was a neighborhood affair}...Spring Break was great! We were sad to see it end.
