I put together a video of pictures of

It’s difficult to fully express what the Choir means to me. Their music has brought me peace, comfort, and countless moments of joy. Thank you for helping me feel the Spirit so consistently through your music.
My 93-year-old mama, who recently passed, absolutely adored the Tabernacle Choir. I had the privilege of caring for her in my home for the last six years of her life. Nearly every day, we could hear the beautiful sounds of the Choir in our home—Now, every time I hear the Choir, I think of my sweet mama.
The Choir’s music also bridges generations in my family. Through your music my 19-month-old granddaughter, Lilly Belle, shares a special connection with me (and her grandma-great when she was alive.) On Lilly Belle’s very first morning home from the hospital—a quiet Sunday morning—I introduced her to the Music and the Spoken Word while her parents tried to get some much needed rest. In the weeks and months that followed, the choir's music became our go-to remedy for fussy moments. We knew we could count on Lilly Belle’s 360 friends to calm her down!
That first year of her life we spent many peaceful, sacred hours together listening to the Choir, and I treasure those memories.
I look forward to the day when Lilly Belle is old enough to join me at the Tabernacle Choir’s Christmas Concerts—a cherished tradition of mine since I first attended in 2004. Every year, all I want for Christmas is a ticket to that concert. It simply wouldn’t feel like Christmas without it.
To the Choir, thank you for the years of ministry through music. You’ve been the soundtrack of so many joyful, sweet moments in my life—and I’m just one of many whose lives have been enriched by your gift. Here’s to 5,000 more.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Angie Cooper
The morning after the wedding
was the taping of the
5,000th episode
of The Music and the Spoken Word.
I knew I HAD to be there regardless of how
tired I was from wedding day!
{Wouldn't have missed it for the world.}
I just sat and cried and cried lol
mixture of all the feels...soaking
in the spirit of the glorious music,
the connection my little mama, Lilly Belle
and I have with choir,
PLUS all the mixed feelings
that come post wedding,
OH MY!
I was sorta a mess!
😂
I was one of the 1,000 + that sent in a tribute
to the choir...
A Tribute to the Tabernacle Choir on their 5,000th Broadcast
The music of the Tabernacle Choir has been one of the greatest joys of my life. My Sundays are not quite complete without “Music and the Spoken Word.” I’m so happy to be celebrating the Choir’s 5,000th episode this Sunday—a milestone that reflects not only remarkable consistency, but also a legacy of spiritual beauty and inspiration.
It’s difficult to fully express what the Choir means to me. Their music has brought me peace, comfort, and countless moments of joy. Thank you for helping me feel the Spirit so consistently through your music.
