Back To School week at our house...
Hannah started her Senior Year!
Gosh dang!
She has a little job at one of our favorite bakeries.
{Picture credit to Ky who went to spy on her.}
Sometimes she even gets to bring home leftover cupcakes...
π
She recently fixed up our messed up
bedroom door knob.
She loves fixing things like that.
Has the patience for it, bless her heart.
My baby started the 2nd grade!
huh?
π³
She has her best friend as well as her cousin in her class.π³
on Friday... Brie was off school the day
Hannah and Kate started back.
It was so nice because she was able to come to the school
with me to see Kate off.
Kinda funny...
Kate and Brie have the same age gap in school as Brie and Hannah do.
Brie was in 2nd grade when Hannah went off to Jr. High!
Can't believe it's time for this again.
Mornings kick us in the butt!
π«
We waved and waved to each other until we couldn't wave anymore.Fun Fact:
I get to go to school with her everyday as I started back to work the next day!
π
*****
The first day of school was also the ECLISPE.
Emmsie, Brie and I were able to go to the school to watch it with the kiddos.
Even in non-totality zone it was still amazing to see!
Here I am trying to help my mom
get a glimpse of it.
Apparently there will be an eclipse here in Salt Lake, in it's totality,
when I am 72.
Emmsie said she'll be helping me in my
elderly-self state
just like I was helping my mom.
haha
Our Eclipse treat...
π
and pretend "moon pies"
Keeping up with Kyleigh...
Man this girl likes to be on the go!
She loves being spontaneous and is always ready for an adventure.
I love hearing about them.
We LAUGH!
π
This was the night they went salsa dancing down in Provo.
The next morning she was off golfing with a missionary buddy...
in heels even..π
She got home and went out with these guys...
Got home from that and went and played tennis with these buddies,
AND paid a visit to the new cookie joint called
CHIP...
Speaking of desserts....We stopped at Straw Market in the Avenues a few weeks back.Their fresh daily bake goods are only a $1!
Cinnamon rolls, rice crispies, sugar cookies etc....
Emma hates anything citrus-y.
Yet, she fell in love with their lemon bars.
That is saying a lot folks.
Look how long Emma's hair is getting!
It's SO pretty!
She put together the cutest birthday gift for her best friend...
all the things in the box were teal colored
*****Went on an excursion with Emmsie and Ky down to Provo this week to
pick up their student ROC passes...
Can't believe the football season is upon us!
So excited!!!
I'm always in awe when I see the new
Heritage Hall dorms.
Heritage Hall dorms.
When I was at BYU I lived in the old Heritage Halls,
in the F. Smith building... in the basement.
in the F. Smith building... in the basement.
They have been replaced by these beauties.
Far cry from what I was living in.
*****
Lunch date with these ladies.
Lunch date with these ladies.
First time for me at
Pig and A Jelly Jar.
They serve Southern comfort food.
Not overly impressed.
But that's okay, still fun to try..
Best thing was their fried green tomatoes!
*****
The hubs and I had dinner group this week.
We went Italian and ate at
Settebello Pizzeria downtown.
SO SO DELICIOUS!
Their gluten free pizza crust is the bomb!
Couldn't even tell it was gluten free.
Extra perk is that there is a gelato shop
hooked on to the pizzeria!
Goodness, how does one choose?
I went with the panna cotta and lemon biscotti flavors.
So good!
*****
In other random....
It's been 20 years this week that Diana died.
To this day, I have a vivid memory of
what I was doing
what I was doing
when I heard the news that she had been in
a car crash.
a car crash.
Have you guys watched this recently aired documentary on ABC?
I still find her life all so fascinating.
*****
Lastly,
fun food find for the week..
or so I thought.
I LOVE Peanut and Peanut Butter M&M's.
I saw these new Pecan Pie ones...
With being a Pecan Pie lover I thought the combo would be
lip smacking good.
Yuck..they are nasty!
Don't even bother.
