A Peek into Our Week....
A trip to our favorite dentist..
Kate's mouth is jacked up!
{as she likes to call it}.
Tooooo many teeth for her small mouth.
Compliments of her dad. π
She needed some more baby teeth pulled to leave room for her permanent teeth coming in.
Last trip Kate had 6 teeth pulled.
This trip only 3.
Even so...
it was not a very pleasant experience.
Poor kid!

We had a sudden hail storm one evening this past week.{Like why is it hailing in May?}
It was incredible to watch, and a bit freaky.
In another part of the valley the sun was shining and Kyleigh was having a photo shoot with her cousin.
AND less than an hour after the isolated hail storm we were eating outside at the food trucks!
{Utah has weird weather.}
I had a Spicy European Komrade "hoodoo"
a cross between a sandwich and gyro...YUM!
Was able to meet up with Kyleigh for a quick sushi lunch at the hospital one day this week..
*****
Dance recital weekend for Brie and Kate!
I was a parent in charge for Brie's class and Kyleigh, bless her heart, was an adult in charge for Kate's first show.
{She doesn't ever want to do that again.
Too many little people problems..}
π
for both Kyleigh and Hannah.
We figured we've had at least 56 shows since we started this 13 years ago!!!
B loved dancing multiple times with her jazz and ballet dance,
and in the finale.
She even enjoyed all the costume changing....
{she takes after her oldest sister in that regard.}
While on the other hand, Kate couldn't wait for it to be over.
π
We got done with the recitals and then the hubs and I were off to celebrate Mother's Day.
We tried a newer Mexican restaurant downtown.
Chile-Tepin
The service was impeccable.
I wanted to love the food, but sorry to say I was a tad bit disappointed.
First off their salsa and chips...a no go.
That's a kicker for me folks.
{I have high expectations for my chips and salsa.}
π
We did some shopp'in and when I got home the kids had a surprise waiting for me.
They had cleaned the house.
{I was a bit in awe of the place.}
My gifts were wrapped, a Mother's Day sign put up,
a candle lit, and the prettiest bouquet of flowers before my eyes ...
***I kinda cried.***
Emma was the mastermind behind it all.
{of course}
I love how each of my kids show their love in different ways..
π
We took the kiddos on a little hike to a waterfall that evening.
{Rocky Mouth Falls..in Sandy}
It was beauteous!
Kyleigh missed out on the hike as she was celebrating with mission buddies...
their two yr mark of when they entered the MTC together!
their two yr mark of when they entered the MTC together!
It blows my mind that that was two years ago.
Time just flies.
She met up with us after for ice cream and "Amazing Race" watching.
{btw Halo Top ice cream is my latest food obsession.}

Mother's Day Sunday!
Blessed to be the mother to these girls of mine.It was a lovely day.
{Sprinkled with a little mortification. Thanks to my Hannie!}
Hannah is the family photographer/videographer.
She is always taking pics and videos, and snapchats of everything and everybody etc.
She loves to try and get me in on the mix even though I hate to be videotaped and having my pic taken is not my favorite either...
Well..for Mother's Day Hannah surprised me with a compiled video {11 minutes mind you} of clips
... of just me, and with her... through out this past year.
She entitled it "A Year of Mom!''
It was touching, hilarious, and embarrassing.. all mixed together!!!
I couldn't help laugh and cry.
{Hey, I'm being brave here...I'm actually sharing a couple of the vids... π }

My favorite quote about Mothers from M. Russell Ballard:"There is no one perfect way to be a
good mother...
Each situation is unique. Each mother has different challenges,
different skills and abilities, and certainly different children.
There are a million different ways to be a
good mom."
{I say amen!}
