Kyleigh mission week 23
Hey Everyone!! Hope you all had a lovely Fall Break :)
The leaves are changing over here as well!
Monday October 12, 2015
Another P day. I had to change my address on my foreigner card so we had an 8 am permission to leave the house. We also went to Costco with Elder Wright and Elder Lee which was fun. There are three Costco's in my mission and now I've been to two of them! I got peanut butter and a brownie mix. We came home and cleaned our house, then went to the church and emailed home. We had Family Home Evening. About 10-12 kids and a few adults came. I shared a spiritual message on talents. We had a great time :)

My five month mark! Time is going by so fast! We visited a less active member today. She vented and cried to us for about 45 minutes about her life and we felt so bad because we couldn't understand everything. I hope she could at least tell that we cared. We had English Class and only two people showed up again. I taught the advanced class with Elder Lee. Advanced class is basically just free talking. So we chatted with Mimi the whole time.
She is a regular English Class attendee.

We had District Meeting and the topic was the importance of extending commitments. We ended up getting a last minute appointment with a member for lunch. We worked on proselyting boards to use when we proselyte together as Elders and Sisters.
Thursday October 15, 2015
We got a referral from the Sister Missionaries in an area near ours. The lady wanted to meet today so we went to her house and introduced our 30/30 English program. We finished working on a bunch of advertising products for us to use when we proselyte. We also practiced our missionary special musical number for Sunday. The song is really hard, and the girl part is really high, and you know I can't sing... I can honestly say I never thought I would ever be in this many musical numbers in my life. I've had like two every month so far....(we actually ending up not performing bahaha thank heavens!)

We visited a less active member. She kept the commitment we gave her to read one verse of scripture every day and write down her thoughts about it, but the the lesson became awkward and we weren't able to answer some of her questions because we didn't know how to explain it in Korean. I felt really bad about that. We met a member family for dinner and talked about General Conference.
Saturday October 17, 2015
We started the recent convert lesson with 고유민s. She is 22 and beautiful and amazing. She found the church on her own. She has a cool conversion story. A member joined us for the lessons which was good because she was able to explain certain things better in Korean. We had English Class and I shared the Spiritual message on Luke 1:37 and the Refiners Fire Mormon Message video.
After we met with our investigator 이채은. She started to read the Book of Mormon which is awesome. After the lesson we went and got bingsew together.
Sunday October 18, 2015
I gave my hello/welcome to the branch talk during Sacrament Meeting. I got to meet a lot of branch members! All the missionaries ate lunch and dinner with the branch at the church. Got to meet the American family that lives here. The Preedman's. They are going on their 4th year living here. They are super sweet. They have five kids. The middle one is my age so she and her two older brothers are out of the house and back in the State's going to school.
So my scripture for Elder Durrant's "ponderize" challenge this week was Luke 1:37!
"For with God nothing shall be impossible."
(I'll let you know each week what my scripture was) If any of you decided to take Elder Durrant's challenge from Conference let me know which scriptures you choose each week! :)

Where in the world is Kyleigh?
Kyleigh is now in the city of Ulsan. Population of over 1.1 million. She is closer to the ocean and has seen some shipping yards, but they are not serving near the coast like the mission area next to them is. She's about 30 minutes northeast of the mission home in Busan. A lot closer than her first area of Daegu. Some interesting facts about Ulsan.... It is the industrial powerhouse of South Korea. Home to the world's largest automobile assembly plant-Hyundai Motor Co, the world's largest shipyard, and the world's second largest oil refinery.

In other family news this week....
Murray had their last home football game.
The drill team performed their super cute NERD dance at halftime.
Our UEA break was pretty chill. Which was nice. We just did little things here and there, and it usually involved food. :)
Isn't the caramel candied apple the perfect fall treat?!?!?
Matterhorn French Toast was a hit with the kids on Friday night at the Soho Food Park..
It's no secret that we love taste testing the different food trucks....
This was Japenese Cuisine from the Comfort Bowl..
The hubs had some awesome Philly Steak sandwich from the Chop City food truck..
Here's spending a little one on one time with Emmsie before she headed to work one day....
Poor Emmsie had to work a ton over the break...so it didn't seem like she got much of a vacation.
We had to sneak yummy food to her at work several times so she wouldn't miss out. ;)
She still had required drill work outs to do at home every day during the break.
She finally has her splits!
A little pre-birthday shopping with Brie.
We have a Shopkins collectible lover at our house.
She bypassed it all for her black accessory eye glasses instead.
Fun Finds!
Good Gravy!
If you like popcorn and anything pumpkin you gotta try this.
It's the bomb.
Found it at Costco this week. {It's wheat and soy free!}
Fall time is my absolute favorite season.
Here are some of our favorite Fall smells from Bath n Body Works....
We get a little nose happy in there. ;)
K so don't laugh...but I'm posting a 'selfie'. Which I feel stupid about.
{I don't even know how to work the dang selfie stick the hubs won at work.}
But I just had to show how my autumn mood has gone to my head. quite literally. haha
I've had blonde highlights FOR YEARS.
Decided on a whim to do something different at the salon this week.
hehe
Shocked the heck out of the hubs and kids...;)
My Hannie loves to look back through all the old blog posts that I've done over the years...
She was doing it over the break...
It gave me an idea to do a Throwback Thursday segment each week when I post
It works since it's usually a Thursday when I post. ;)
Thought it would be fun for my fam to see what we were up to at this time of year... 8, 5 or 2 yrs ago etc. Three years ago over UEA break we were in Disney. We were just thinking about that trip recently and couldn't believe it had been three years. This is one of Hannie's favorite posts.... so here's to Hannie and her reminiscing...HERE
Gosh I miss this girl!
I LOVE your hair, it looks amazing!
