Goodness, I meant to post this sooner..seeing as it was two weekends ago!...hard to believe another school dance has come and gone. {Sigh of relief people.} There is always a bit of the usual hoopla/drama at our place come dance time.... Especially girl's choice dances, and particularly this time around with two girls needing ball gowns. Dance time is always fun and exciting, but we are always kinda glad to have them behind us too. Because this was a M.A.G sponsored dance, both Kyleigh and Emma helped to plan it, and decorate, and basically involved in pulling off the event with their fellow officers.
The dress shop "Dreams of Enchantment" {up in Layton}.... we've frequented numerous times now. We have the best luck there in finding gowns to rent.
.
Not sure if Kyleigh was more excited about the dress, or that it was a masquerade, and that the administration actually allowed masks!
The group!
They came here for pics before they left for dinner, and then came back after the dance for the "after party"...fondue and a movie...
Kyleigh with 5 of her close girlfriends. Funny they all ended up in black, white and silver....
How she asked:
She used this poster with added Baby Ruth Candy bars and Big League Bubblegum to ask her date who is a baseball player...
He answered back with a pumpkin theme...
a lighted trail of pumpkins on the front lawn...led to the answer.
Emmsie isn't 16 yet and able to date.... but she still had to go to represent MAG. {Sort of an awkward situation.}
The officer's parent's get to chaperon the dance, so Emmsie basically hung with her mom and dad at her first high school dance! Now that's a memory for ya.
Loved her mask!
Dad made sure she had a corsage.
They had several lighted chandeliers dangling from the rafters....
Emma had all the cookies at our house...
Kyleigh was in charge of ordering the balloons....
This was the dance floor before all the craziness....the calm before the storm....
Ya just gotta love High School dances... the "implied" instructions given to us chaperone's was hilarious...as in...make sure people keep their clothes on... no making out...no one is hanging from the trees....etc. etc.. Oh gosh funny stuff! Then you see two girls on the dance floor making out, and then it's not so humorous anymore. Boy, times have changed!
