BB cream...it primes, moisturizes, minimizes pores, conceals, covers, smooths, mattifies, brightens and helps protect. I'm quite enamored by it.
Mobile Banking...I'm not sure if every banking institution offers this now but our credit union does, and I think has for some time. {It just took me awhile to jump on the band wagon.} Not that we have a lot of checks to cash, due to direct deposit, but when we happen to have a few, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO. So darn convenient to just take a pic of the front and back of the check with your i phone and whaa-laa that money is deposited into your account. Beats having to run to the credit union ATM every time you have a check to deposit.
This video! This is darling and so true! {And boy, does the hubs know where this guy is coming from!}
Movies! We are on a movie kick right now. It's Summer! Although I'll admit I'm a tad bit obsessed with them at anytime. I even keep a list of my all time favorite movie lines/scenes. {I'm a fanatic.} I recently made a list of my top 30 {ok 31..couldn't help it} favorite movies! Do you know how hard that was? In all honesty it should be more like a top 50 list because my very very favorite movies are the period piece films...adore them! But there are so many of those I'm not going to include them on this particular list.
These non Austen-esque movies...no matter how many times I've seen them make me giggle, shed a tear, or overall just make my heart smile. On a side note it comes as no surprise to me when I realized that the majority have some European tie!... whether its London, Paris, Italy or Greece...etc
So... in no particular order {although these first three could easily be in my top 5} these are my top 30'ish favorite movies...
Three Men and a Little Lady....What a crock! Love Tom Selleck in this movie. First saw it when I was a Freshman at BYU {it's an oldie} and have loved it ever since. Seen it too many times to count, but never gets old to me.
A 1954 remake. Sabrina Fairchild {Julia Ormond..she plays the part so well} finds herself in Paris! {awe} This happens to be my favorite Harrison Ford movie, although "Regarding Henry" and "The Fugitive" from the early 90's are also really entertaining.
Want to reminisce about High School? watch Prom. Cracks me up!
The Counte of Monte Cristo....Some vengeance, justice and forgiveness with a French flair. Good guy wins in the end.
The Man in the Iron Mask....Drama with a tich of French History. Love.
Kate & Leopold...Not into Time Travel? You will be when you see this.
Monte Carlo with girlfriends...sounds delightful! It is.
Leap Year is beyond charming! Just so you know "It's not a load of poo!" haha
I'm quite a fan of Hugh Grant on screen. He's in at least three of my very favorites.... Did you hear about the Morgans? and Notting Hill. AND he also plays Edward in Austen's "Sense and Sensibility". {In one version of it anyway.} Mr. Matthew Crawley {gah!} from Downton Abby plays Edward in the latest A & E version. But that is a whole other story. Hugh Grant and Dan Stevens both easily make my top five list of favorite actors.
Pillow Talk....Doris Day and Rock Hudson. Hello! One of the greatest on screen couples in cinematic history.
Parent Trap.....Just stink'in cute!
My favorite wedding films...My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Father of the Bride, and My Best Friend's Wedding...
Mama Mia!.... My Favorite musical. Gotta love the music. {and Pierce is in it! Some argue he can't sing. Who cares!}
First Knight...This one tugs at my heart. big time.
Letters to Juliet....What a sweet love story. And hello Lorenzo!
Yours, Mine and Ours with Lucille Ball and Henry Ford. What a classic! Wish there were more movies like this.
The Holiday... you can't just watch this at Christmas time, it's too good.
Other favorite Christmas movies...Elf and Home Alone...Seriously how many times have I seen these over the years? Gazillion.
Sound of Music. Just draws me in. Love that time period in History.
Tangled is my Disney favorite. {I think} Being a Disney fan it's hard to choose. Cinderella and Aristocats are way up there too.
Nanny McPhee...Collin Firth and Emma Thompson! Need I say more? One of the sweetest endings ever. {Emma Thompson is one of my all time favorite actresses.}
Only You Damon Bradley! So endearing...
Something Borrowed....One of my latest favorites....
K Cary Grant is just plain yummy! {He's the ultimate screen actor for me. With Pierce Brosnan in a very close second and Kevin Costner vying for third..hahaha} Again, hard choice but Charade is probably my favorite Cary Grant movie. In Paris. With Audrey Hepburn. A romance, comedy, mystery. Doesn't get much better than this, if you are in the mood for a 60's classic.
The Man from Snowy River....A teenage favorite of mine...
Of course there has to be a Bond on the list. Didn't think Pierce could be replaced in that role, but fell in love with Casino Royale. Skyfall is right up there too.
Diary of a Whimpy Kid {the first one..hilarious} gets honorable mention as does my favorite church video The Best Two Years...so touching {in a cheesy way}...Something's Gotta Give! {Diane Keaton is also one of my favorite lady actresses} and lastly, Shall We Dance? {one of my all time fav movie scenes is in this movie. Richard Gere in a tux coming up the escalator to give his wife a rose. gah!}
Oh gosh I think I forgot two or three!...Dan in Real Life, While You Were Sleeping and You've Got Mail. See I told ya, this was way too hard.
I just found out today, that My favorite TV show..the genealogy documentary series "Who do you think you are?" is coming back. {happy dance} Each week a celebrity has his or her family history researched by Ancestry.com. It is so fascinating to me. It was cancelled a year ago by NBC. {grrr} but TLC has picked it up for the summer line up in July. This show is such a feel good show it gets me teary every time. I'm telling ya, it's the spirit of Elijah unfolding on the tv screen. Who would have thunk?
Thanks for sharing your list! There are some I haven't seen yet and can't wait to watch.
