Our Rudolph pancakes....
Our taste testing with chocolates from around the world...thanks to Costco!
Music from heaven!
Oh my goodness!! Alfie Boe, Tom Brokaw and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Best Christmas concert combination yet. Seriously some of the best weekend entertainment I've ever had. I got to see it not once but three times. {One of those nights my sister and I were on an adventure..so fun!} Every year the concert is absolutely amazing. It's my favorite thing in the whole world to go to. This year it was phenomenal. I can't even begin to tell you what it was like. You just had to have been there. Best thing I think I've ever seen. It made me cry.... More times than I want to admit. It was the best Christmas present ever. I don't need noth'in else!
Christmas dance recitals!
Christmas Band concert!
And several Christmas choir concerts for Hannah! No pics from that. darn.
Kate's favorite treat! on our way home from an unexpected Ortho appt for Emmsie...
Chill'in with Dad while he bbq'd!... in the snow...
Kyleigh's drill competitions! She's had two so far.
The last competition they took first place in the 4A division in military. They rocked it!
It is CrAzY fun! Especially if we are under a time crunch!
The locker room before performance time IS bustling, hair do'ing, pinning, tanning, duct taping, practicing, music blaring..its nuts!
I love make up but if you ask me, what we have to do is a tad over the top {they look like clowns} but you do what the coach tells you to do. ;)
The moms help throw a dinner for the girls the week they have competitions. This was pasta bar Italian night.
Their lockers get decorated so stink'in cute!
Drill practice is anywhere to three to five hours a day, sometimes six times a week. Add your all day competitions, performances at basketball games...and it's like a part time job and then some. It's grueling. A wicked thigh bruise to prove it! Because they practice year round it would be safe to say the drill team are the top athletes at the school. I just need a shirt now that says "My athlete performs at halftime".
Her favorite spot these days to conk out....I can't blame her!
