My B. Olivia turned 8!
Special 8th birthday present!
Grandma added two more Halloween Madame Alexander dolls to Brie's birthday collection! Look at those itty bitty caramel apples.... way too cute!
Brie got to go to her very first Achievement Day Activity on her birthday. It was extra special because it was a daddy daughter date. They went to the farm and had a hayride, and ate and played a game at the church.
Her activity day leader is a gem I tell you. One of my favorite people on this planet.
Poor B was sick on her birthday, woke up with a bad cold. Some birthday present! She was a trooper though. The family celebrated by going to the restaurant of her choice. {That would be Cafe Rio to get her favorite pork salad.} We happened to be there when she turned exactly eight at 6:10 p.m.
The birthday cake!
Gosh who knew it would be so hard to find a Halloween inspired cake at the grocery store. {in October}? Halloween was still four days away and they had Christmas cakes for sell! {and Christmas trees up}. Seriously people....Who needs a freak'in Christmas cake in October? Our society is so over commercialized, it's nuts. Can we not live in the moment? Hannah and I left baffled, with a plain old chocolate one and spiffed it up all Halloween-y ourselves.
Happy Birthday B...We love you!!
