Snack Trays!
Brie loves this after school snack. Doesn't everything taste better cut up, stuck with a toothpick and served on a cute tray? She went and hunkered down in her hide out to eat!
Talent Show!
Our ward had a talent show this past weekend. {You always get a chuckle out of those.} Emma played the bagpipes with a neighbor and his two sons. Here she is at one of the practices. For whatever reason I did not get a picture of them the night of the performance. Shoot me. They were all decked out in their Scottish attire too, kilts included. They looked fabulous!
Sleeping Toddler!
Kate fell asleep at the bottom of our bed a few nights ago. I got up to move her to her bed and she woke up and proceeded to have a melt down. Nothing like a tantrum after the midnight hour! {I think this kid has thrown more tantrums than my four older girls put together. She is so stubborn.} I basically ignored what was happening and went back to bed. And I fell asleep. When Dad and I awoke the next morning we noticed Kate was not in her bed. And she wasn't in ours or her sisters or out on the couch. It was still fairly dark in the house at that hour so Dad had his flashlight out looking around for her. He came across this at the foot of our bed. Kate fast asleep buried inside a laundry hamper fully loaded with clean clothes. Not sure how long she had been sleeping in there or how she landed in that particular spot but we all thought it was pretty darn cute!
Danc'in Girl!
Kyleigh was introduced as a new member of the Drill Team at the End of Year Show. She is so excited to be a Spartonian! Although she is going to have a boot camp of a summer. Let me tell you!
She was also recently selected to be a State Finalist and compete in the National America Miss Utah Pageant this June. But with so much on her plate this summer we had to turn them down. {It's one of those Good, Better, Best, decisions}
Fine Dining!
Hannah was one of the few chosen in her class to be able to attend a Fine Dining Luncheon provided by the culinary classes at the High School. She went through an etiquette course at the elementary the day before to prepare for it and received a certificate. I was so glad she got this opportunity. I can totally see her wanting to take these culinary classes when she gets to High School. One of her dreams when she grows up is to work in a bakery and make cupcakes.
Our playroom is often changing between a Barbie village or playing school, or restaurant etc. This week Hannah set up a vet clinic. So cute! She even made patient sign in forms to fill out asking if the animal needed a regular check up or had an injury or other, which would include a trim or a stitch up, thus the needle and thread. Love my Hannie!
Daddy's work!
Emma is going to volunteer at the hospital this summer along with Kyleigh, a cousin and a close friend. She had her interview this week and we were able to go up and see the new, completed hospital lobby, 8 months in the making. Dad helped to oversee the operational side of this project. It's beautiful! We love to visit Dad at work because that usually means we get to eat there too. {Something must be really wrong with me because I love hospital food. This hospitals anyway.}
