Shut the front door people! Our house has been invaded by some British boys and one Irish, to be exact. The new British Boy Band "One Direction" has turned my three oldest all fangirly. They've caused quite a craze around here as well as with half the neighborhood girls. They've been You Tub'in their music for weeks now in anticipation of their first CD release. This week the fangirly-ness reached fever pitch as these five boys made their official American debut with a concert on the Today Show and we finally got to buy their CD. Since the girls were at school when the concert was on we had to tape it. We held a little One Direction fan gathering at our place after school. I surprised them with a little homemade poster of the band and a 1D after school snack!
So funny watching their reactions...
Hannah not only decorated her school desk "One Direction" style but also her lunch sack and the food items in it! We are little partial to Liam and Harry around here.
The next day I took some of the girls to purchase the CD. Too much fun! Barnes and Noble only had one deluxe CD left. We ended up venturing to two other places....
Should have gone to Target first!
Happy girls! Poor Emma missed out on all the fun as she was at art lessons...
Good times I tell ya!! We had the car blasting on the way home and three days later I think we've just about worn out the CD already. One of the neighbor girls thought she heard on the radio this past weekend that One Direction was coming to Utah. not true! But you have no idea what mayhem that caused. The neighbor thought someone was dying hearing all the high pitched screaming coming from my girls and their friends. It was hilarious! We are anticipating the day they will come to the west coast. Then brace yourselves people.
Hey there, One Direction is featured in People magazine this week--it's the one with The Hunger Games on the cover. They have them in the "Music" section and then on another couple of pages they talk about the band more in depth. :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, they actually might be coming to Salt Lake--they are touring with "Big Time Rush". I believe they are coming to Seattle together, so why not Salt Lake? I would look it up.
