Here's a peek into the family's annual Disney trip. Celebrating our tenth year. Nineteen were in tow. {You don't have to be a Cooper to come on this trip. We have tag a longs every year} Three carloads full caravanned it. Four flew. We had about five times the luggage you see here which included four strollers and two new babies experiencing Disney for the first time.
Can't say enough about the loooong car ride...Kate pictured here, being entertained by a Scooby Doo DVD, lasted about thirty seconds. When she was sleeping the ride was bearable. When awake..it was split between tolerable and down right hairy. The worst...when she was screaming and we were nowhere near a stopping point. You know we are desperate when this unsinging bunch bursts into song to calm her. When she threw up on me in a traffic jam in Vegas....that was also a killer! The dead silence from me said it all. Dad said I had the patience of Job. Not sure about that but I do know our time in the car was unforgettable. And even on the verge of humorous. Especially when all the kids were in the car with us. {Two of them rode with grandma and grandpa the majority of the way} But that final stretch to our hotel, from the beach, we were all together. And they all had something to say after what seemed an eternity in the car.. "I don't feel so good.", "Don't throw up on me!" "How much longer?", "I'm hungry", "My butt is sore!", "What time is it?". I believe it was our sweet, quiet Hannah blurting out "I'm freak'in tired!" that took the cake. Amen sista.
First night stay in St. George...Kate so happy to be out of her carseat!
The second day we drove and drove...we finally reached our destination to see the ocean at Newport Beach....
The kids romped in the water
and searched for seashells....
Disney here we come....
more to come tomorrow....
