I threw a bridal shower last week for two of my nieces (sisters) who are getting married three weeks apart from each other. Can you imagine trying to plan two weddings at the same time? Their poor mother! I told my girls they better not do that to me. However, I wouldn't be completely surprised if it happens as this trend seems to run in the family. It happened with another older sister of mine with two of her daughters and my own parents had three weddings within nine months.

Anyhow, we are about to embark on wedding heaven here with one of the nieces getting married this Friday! For her reception she is using vintage, shabby chic decor. Which style I happen to love. It also appears to be one of THE hottest trends in weddings right now. Her colors are plum and chartreuse. I heard she was wanting to use decor items such as canning jars with sprigs of simple flowers, a birdcage, doilies, old books, etc. You'll find that's where my inspiration came from in decorating for the shower. Would love to post the rest of the pics but blogger is not letting me. grr. Hopefully tomorrow.
LOVE IT! Can't wait to see the rest.
