All things IRISH, good food and Kate's first little outing...
We had our traditional Irish feast on Sunday with deli sliced corn beef, sauteed cabbage, Irish cheese & soda bread, and green pear salad...Emma helped Grandma make mint brownies and fruit pizza and did the table decorating...with green chargers even! I didn't have to do a thing.
We have had delicious food coming out of the wazoo this week as we've been well taken care of by gracious ward members and friends who have brought in a weeks worth, and then some, of yummy meals. Its been HEAVENLY and greatly appreciated! There is nothing better than eating good food you haven't had to fix.
Besides our Irish meal, we continued to get into the upcoming St. Patti's Day spirit by watching Riverdance and Darby O'Gill. Kyleigh and I are just a tad bit into the Irish thing! One of our lifelong dreams is to travel to Dublin and stand on the Ireland coast where the "Westlife" video "My Love" was filmed. And Kate will certainly have to come with. One of the reasons we gave her the name we did is because the name "Katie" is Irish and she was due the day before St. Patrick's Day.
Kate's first outing this week, other than to the doctors, was to Grandma and Grandpa's. This was the first time my nephew had ever held a baby so I had to take a picture of him holding Kate. He was so proud!
