With our cell phone service plan allowing an upgrade every two years, today happened to be the day that I could get my new phone. Yippee!! With the Self Portrait Tuesday Challenge being....make new friends but keep the old....I thought I would take a pic of my old cell. What a good reliable friend it has been, (when I didn't neglect it and forget to charge its battery...LOL). It's practically gone everywhere I've gone the last two years...I'm really going to miss carrying that thing around..bling and all! Kyleigh can't wait to get her hands on it, (as you can see in this picture,) as we've told her we MIGHT reactivate it so that she can use it in EMERGENCY cases ONLY.
SO GUESS WHAT FLAVOR OF THE LG CHOCOLATE WIRELESS PHONES I CHOSE AS MY NEW FRIEND?
Cherry
Chocolate
Mint
Chocolate
Strawberry
Chocolate
Okay, I'm quite a chocolate lover so if I was going to choose one of these flavors to eat I'd choose the mint chocolate hands down, but since that's not an option here and with my growing pink feddish, I couldn't resist getting the Strawberry Chocolate. This new "pink" friend I'm happy to say will be hang'in with me for the next couple of years.
Since I'm on the subject of CHOCOLATE, I made yummy Double-Chocolate Chip Cookies today. If you need a fast and easy recipe for chocolate cookies, this is it! It is one of Betty Crocker's most requested recipes. Try it, I think any chocolate cookie lover will like it.
1 package Betty Crocker Super Moist devil's food cake mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat half of the dry cake mix, the butter, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl on medium speed until smooth, or mix with spoon. Stir in remaining cake mix, the
nuts and chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are set (centers will be soft). Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. About 5 dozen cookies. High Altitude: No changes. Enjoy!
Yes, I know your dilemma quite well. Fortunately, little Brie has gotten over the fascination of my old phone BUT she hasn't seen the new one yet so we will see how that goes. In order to turn the chocolate on you have to slide the top part of the phone up to expose the key pad. You may already know that and not that Boo wouldn't be able to figure that out eventually but it might trick her for awhile since it's not the usual flip...I actually do like the look of the razor better than the chocolate once it is opened but I didn't care for the shade of pink of the razor phone....I wanted the hot pink! So to flip or slide?!?!?!? Good luck with your decision.
