The "Together We Can Make A Difference"
bracelet that my friend gave to me today.
RACE FOR A CURE- I had the privilege of participating in the Komen Salt Lake City Race For A Cure with family and friends this morning. What an amazing experience it was! There were literally thousands and thousands of people there to show their support in the fight against breast cancer. Of course the majority were wearing the official race t-shirt. As you can see I was not. Not that I necessarily wanted to stick out like a sore thumb its just that I'm not into wearing ill fitted t-shirts out in public type of girl so I just couldn't quite bring myself to wear that darn race t-shirt or the one that my friend had made up for our team. However, I did have the color pink on my shorts so I didn't feel like a complete rebel! There obviously were many others not in the official race t-shirt... as one group for instance had t-shirts on that said "WE ARE WALKERS FOR APRIL'S KNOCKERS." We got some laughs out of that! Humor aside, I hope I never have to walk or run in memory of a loved one who has been stricken with this deadly disease.
