Thanksgiving at our house!
Our Thankful Breakfast!
We are missing poor B!
She was able to join us for
most of the day's festivities,
but was in bed
a good portion too with the flu crud.
Uncle Luis always cooks
and to visit with my side of the family.
together this year on Thanksgiving. It had
been 3 years due to Covid and my sister
being so sick with her kidney issues.
**********
The day before Thanksgiving
we were able to participate in
Murray High's Winter Charity
5k run/walk to raise money
for cancer research.
{At the Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg.}
Emmsie and I met Kyleigh there to
help her with some work stuff.
The Nauvoo Cafe. One of our
favorite little spots uptown for
yummy soup and sandwiches.
**********
However; our favorite food find this week
was realizing that there is THIS
at the new Deseret Book in Fort Union.
Hello!
How did I not know this? haha
They serve BYU creamery ice-cream.
ALL the flavors.
**********This Dec 1st meme CRACKED ME UP.....
Altho we don't have an advent problem
at our house. lol
I found some GOOD ones at the Costco
and Sam's Club...
chocolates, jams and cheeses.
B, Kate and I are loving these jams and cheeses
to the German Christkindlmart
for the first time. Last year the
traffic was atrocious just trying
to get up to -This is The Place-
where it is held. We turned
around and said forget it.
This year we went on Day 1 and
had much better luck!
We were just in the right spot at
the right time.
He looked right at us
and wished us a Merry Christmas
in his native German. MADE MY DAY!
It was like seeing Santa, but like 10x
better! Even Brie was like..."I LOVE HIM!"
It was a bit crowded, and windy as heck
that night, but we had a blast taste
testing the different foods
and browsing the shops.
**********We got to attend the
Christmas Around the World
dance concert down at the Y.
SO FUN and festive.
Kyleigh still wishes she could be
out there dancing. She misses it.
The next morning was our Ward ChristmasBrunch. The Poppi was on the food
committee and slaved away in the kitchen
from his trip to the groomers...has been
watching oodles of
Christmas concerts of the Tabernacle Choir
on DVD with my little mama and I.

The fam went and saw THIS!
My goodness. SO GOOD!
😭
SEE IT if you can!}
It's based on a true story of
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
and how he came to write the Christmas hymn
"I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day!"
{one of my favorite Christmas hymns...
maybe cuz I'm a bell too...my maiden name. 😉}
Speaking of movies....
Christmas movies are one of my
favorite things about Christmas time.
{I believe I've been watching
{I believe I've been watching
them since Oct 21st.!
I could probably be a
Queen of Christmas
Movie watching if there was such a
title. Anywho, I take it pretty seriously.}
😜
I thought it would be fun
to list my top ten 14 favorites.
{As of right now anyway. Ha!}
They are either from Hallmark or
Great American Family Channel.
{Shout out to Candace Cameron Bure. YAY!!}
Lifetime and UPtv have some cute
ones too.
The ones I've listed
just have a little extra some'thn
that made them even more enjoyable
to watch. {whether it be the on-screen
chemistry, different than usual
story-line(s) etc.}
They are in no particular order...
but the first four listed happen to be from
this Christmas season, and you could
probably catch a re-run.
