We have a bride to be at our house!
gonna nail this girl down.
This guy IS THE ONE!
Mr. Tyler Cooper...
Yep, Kyleigh won't have to change
her last name.
And NO, there is no relation.
{They made sure of THAT
way in the beginning.}
But how cool, unusual, and a bit weird to
marry someone with the same last name??
😂
They met back in Sept of 2020
when Kyleigh was living in Provo
her last semester at BYU.
Tyler's dad was the Bishop of their YSA ward.
THE PROPOSAL...
Tyler is a Political Science major and
currently interning at the State Capitol.
Kyleigh also works uptown so
she'll occasionally meet him up at the Capitol
on her lunch break.
ON THE DAY...
He got permission to take her up
to the dome area
to casually show her around.
They had to be escorted
by a highway patrol man...
because climbing up the narrow dome
steps is a little precarious.
And dark and dusty. haha
But the climb led them outside
to where the red arrow is in the pic below.
That is where he popped the question.
What a SURPRISE for her!
{She wasn't suspecting anything
because she didn't think the ring was done yet.}
It was just the two of them up there
other than the highway patrol guy
and a communications staff member
pretending to be doing a story/photoshoot
for the Capitol newsletter.
But they hid out on the other side
so Tyler could propose in private.
And then they got to re-enact it
after for the camera.
The ring is a stunner!
She wanted something unique and
different than a typical diamond.
She almost went for a blue sapphire-
like Princess Diana/Kate's ring. In the end,
she chose a gem stone called Morganite.
It has a rose gold tint to it,
surrounded by diamonds.
Engraved inside the band is
their saying...
"You're my favorite"
that he was proposing
and EVERYONE at the Capitol
knew what was going down too...
even the Chief of Staff
and Speaker of the House.
😂
They came by that night and I videotaped
them telling us how it all played out.
20 minutes worth. haha
It was great fun hearing all the details.
We are super happy for Kyleigh, and
our son-in-law to be.
He really is a great guy.

Why I hadn't bothered to watch it

of an iconic show. We love it...it's
absolutely adorable and laugh out
loud funny!
